That decision to not kick at the end of the first half looms bigger than it did a few minutes ago.

Pats kicked at the end of the half down 21-3 in the SB and those points were useful.

Well the field only ends at the two 0 yard lines I don't see what about it is inconsistent. You got an issue with a sack in the endzone being a safety as well ?

No but there’s no fumble there, it’s a different aspect of the game.

I’d be fine if they said that any fumble out of bounds went to the other team. Then make it a touchback if it goes out the end zone. At least it’s consistent.

I’m not trying to convince anyone, it’s just my opinion. Probably not worth discussing on a game day thread.

I don’t see why you fumble out of bounds anywhere on the field and you get it back, but if you fumble out the end zone the other team gets it. Super arbitrary and usually a game changer. Obviously didn’t apply here but still, it’s inconsistent.

What happens if you intentionally throw the ball out the sideline? Just curious.
