What happens if we win and so do the Chargers and Chiefs?
#2.
KC will be 1 and LAC will be 5.

NE clinches at least the 2 with a win regardless of what anyone else does.

The only way NE gets the 1 is to win and have KC win the AFCW at 11-5.

Just out of curiosity had we handled Miami would we have been the 1 with a win against the jets?

If i told you the answer, youd wish I didn’t

Ah gotcha.

With the exception of fans in New Orleans and a handful of teams vying for the number one draft pick, many in every other NFL fan base are going through a similar 'what if / would'a could'a should'a' masochistic exercise of anguish and torment.

Texans: 0-3 start, including home loss to Giants

Titans: lost to Bills by 1 as time expired after being unable to score TD inside the 10
Titans: lost to Chargers by 1 after two failed two-point conversions, rather than kick XP to go to OT

Colts: 1-5 start included losses to Jets, Bengals, and home OT loss to Texans

Ravens: 0-2 in OT, including loss to Browns

Steelers: Week 1 tied Browns (w/Tyrod Taylor at QB); losses to Broncos and Raiders .... (but instead they focus on penalty vs Saints, so let them suffer).

Chargers: home loss to Broncos

Chiefs: their first half vs Pats cost them that game; blew a 28-14 lead at home with 4:00 left to play to lose to Chargers

Dolphins: could be 9-6 if not for home losses to Lions (2-3 at time) and Jaguars last week (Jax had lost 9 of previous 10 games)

Browns: wishing they had fired Hue Jackson a year ago, and let Baker Mayfield start from week 1. Also wish they started the season with a better kicker, costing them wins in three games (they could realistically be 10-5 right now, 1st place in AFC North)

If NE and HOU both lose, what scenario would need to happen for the Patriots to slide to #3? Is there any possible way we finish lower than #3? I'd be shocked if we lost to NYJ at home, but I'm asking out of curiosity. We need to just take care of our business.

Two scenarios for Pats to slide to #3 if both NE and Houston lose:
Ravens beat Browns, Colts beat Titans
Browns beat Ravens, Titans beat Colts

We need to just take care of our business.
If the Patriots win they get a bye, regardless of what else happens.

All true, but I think it's fair to say the Miami loss is uniquely painful.
