Do you want to see Josh McDaniels become Green Bay's HC?

Time to make a real commitment to McDaniels and Bill to give a realistic time table on retiring.
Or we let him go and see what happens to the offense.
The defense is playing top level right now love it.
We could have a good draft and be set to run the table for years.

McD would be a fool to go there. Fans & media love St Aaron. He's on the downslope of his career. New HC will take the blame for this.
Going there after Rogers departs or announces he's in his last year would be a good position for a HC. Clear mission to rebuild.

Michael Strahan also brought up a good point about whether or not coaches might hesitate to go there if they think the QB is in charge. Kudos to Bradshaw and Strahan for actually challenging the dysfunction which is Green Bay.
No more excuses Aaron! Let's see how you do now that you got your coach fired by essentially calling your own plays when you were not supposed to!

According to the reports they did make a real commitment by signing him to a 5 year deal that puts him on par with a first time head coach’s salary. And although Brady didn’t confirm the specifics of the contract, he recently said that “Josh is under contract for a long time,” or something very close to that phrasing.

One things for certain Mike McCarthy is getting one of those available jobs and he's a more accomplish HC wise than McDaniels.

I would love McDaniels to stay on here after BB I think he would do well with his history and all.

Yes as a offensive coordinator but he needs to know hes going to be the head honcho and maybe a time frame from BB himself or matching BBs salary now could keep him from trying to make Rodgers great again.
If he does get the job he absolutely needs to coin that phrase imagine the hat and shirt sales.

That's an interesting stat / article.

There should be some context added as to how often his receivers were truly covered. Not sure how you quantify 'covered' but with the All-22 film there should be a way to do it with video analytics.

Then you compare that 'WR cover rate' to that of other QBs. If Rodgers's WRs truly can't get open as much as Packers fans say they can't, then the discussion becomes whether it's fair to criticize him for not throwing into coverage (this is part of the whole 'Rodgers is bad at coming back in the fourth quarter because he doesn't take risks' narrative that has been made recently).

But if he's throwing the ball away because he's not seeing an open receiver, then that's a problem. His WRs aren't as terrible as some would make them out to be (Adams is very good) so I tend to think this is the case.

Certainly *something* is contributing to his throwing the ball away at a record rate (moreso than he's done in the past). It would be interesting if we could use data to figure out what that something is.

^^^ Also, the stats are that Rodgers throws it away every 10 throws, and the NFL average is every 28. So if you assume 40 passes per game, then he has about 2.5 more throwaways per game than the average QB. That actually doesn't seem like a large number, although it's still a significant difference (especially when they seem to come in big situations).
