Please review if you haven't in a while:

PatsFans.com Code Of Conduct: PLEASE READ

Some people have gone over the top with some comments recently and I'll be in touch directly with those who fall into this category, but I'm asking that we channel any further frustrations in a better manner than being hostile directly with another user.

Again, if you don't like what someone is saying and you're getting frustrated, be the bigger person and move on, or place them on ignore. Inappropriate and nasty responses are unnecessary and will potentially lead to removal. This has nothing to do with opinions (if you're frustrated with the team, etc - it's fine, we don't all need to agree), it has to do with the nasty interactions that have gone on here recently. If you can debate in a manner that keeps you from that, it would be appreciated.

We were doing pretty well for a while, but we need people to become a little more aware and to back away from the keyboard before they say something that will cause an issue.

I appreciate the cooperation. Hopefully those in this category can settle down and we can avoid any further issues.

Which thread prompted this?

A lesson for us all: don’t turn into JimK.

Not a particular thread, but quite a few posts within several threads has brought this to light and it needs to be addressed. I've been lenient, but it's time to just knock it off. We're adults, I'd like to think we're better than this.

Question: Is it OK to throw a bildo into the thread? Asking for a friend in Buffalo.

(All jokes aside, I love this board and appreciate the hard work of the mods, agree that there have been a few pretty questionable posts recently, which, if they were more prevalent, would make the board unreadable. I've seen what happens when boards turn into a festival of personal attacks and it's not pretty).

Wait a second... Rex Ryan really does have a foot fetish... my comment was entirely on topic!!

IMO, it has more to do with the sudden influx of political threads into the football forum. Control that and you'll eliminate a good amount of the hostility between posters.

While that's prompted a few comments, more have actually occurred within football threads and a few were also within the GDT thread. I get that tempers flare, but the tone of the comments are becoming unnecessary and some go beyond to inappropriate. It's just stupid, and I'm just asking for those who fall into this category to be better than that.

I don't know which posts are in question, so I can't comment on them and they might very well have been beyond the pale. But I don't know how much more people are supposed to scale disagreements back, because this place has already been neutered in comparison to what it once was. And that hasn't been an improvement, IMO.

I’ll watch my words closer.

I’m for that as well.

Did I make the cut?

If people want to get in pissing matches, I wish they’d just take it to PM. I don’t want to read about which esoteric nuance someone wants to defend. Maybe I am the minority. If a thread has an argument in it I just quit reading it.

Name the posters! Shame them!
Yea, sick the shame lady on them.

He's not talking about disagreements, he's talking about personal attacks.
