Seriously, Dorsett looks good. You can tell that he has been coached up NE positional coaches and has worked real hard to resurrect his near dead career. He and Brady seem on the same page. He reminds me of Deon Branch.

I was wondering what Colts fans were thinking if they saw him play today.

They were too busy watching the Colts piss away a lead at home to Cincinnati.

I've been high on Dorsett since last season. He looked great in limited opportunities in 2017 and his performance today wasn't surprising to me. He was constantly getting open today and Brady/McDaniels seemed to pick up on it.

Also, is it just me, or did some of Brady's passes to Dorsett seem a bit high or behind him? Noticed it in the preseason games too. I know 1 was potentially intended for Hogan today, but Dorsett had to adjust on a few others. Perhaps just a timing issue that'll be resolved soon.

Meant to post this before the game but didn’t go through. I see him with about 800 yards and 60 catches.

I was at the game and keyed on him. He played well showing good separation with some tough catches. Brady is looking for him and seems to trust him. If that continues Jules will take a lot of his receptions away but he may turn into the next Amendola. We will see.

It seems unlikely that Dorsett will see 7 tgts every game, even before Edelman comes back. It's not as if JAX, DET and MIA are going to ignore what Dorsett put on tape this afternoon. However, if those teams shift coverage assets around to better account for Dorsett, Hogan, and/or White, will see different coverage and possibly more receptions, if not more tgts.

OTOH, Dorsett ran a couple short-to-intermediate crossers/slants today, and a few intermediate out-routes. McD and Brady are keenly aware of what Dorsett is now showing on tape. Dorsett is now set up to be able to run a double-move, out-and-up route and use his 4.33 speed in some future game.

After Edelman returns, he's likely to take some of the routes that Dorsett ran today. However, it seems likely to me that a lot of routes will be re-distributed, and that Dorsett may simply pick up a different assortment of routes, rather than simply fewer.

It's a shame there wasn't some sort of offseason training program, where the team can get together and practice things like timing.

I would still take the under. But Dorsett had an excellent game today. He looks quick, sure handed and seems to have gained Brady’s trust. I’m cautiously optimistic for his season.

It’s about building trust but dorsett running good good routes.

Always a good observation Mr Maineman

I was pleasantly surprised by his performance in today’s game as well as pre season. What we are witnessing is the Indy has been wearing off of him.

He looked amazing out there today

Perhaps more important ...

Develin burned through 50% of his annual averages for tgts, catches and yards in ONE GAME!! He's currently on pace to catch 64 of 64 for 352 yards!!

I love my new meds!!

At the current pace, Develin is also about to go through 32 teammates' knees and destroy half of them.

Today was very gratifying as someone who has been in this guy's corner since the moment he put on our jersey. But I'm weird in that while I'm still thinking Brandon Lloyd is his ceiling at the same time I care more about the team and its players being successful than being RIGHT IN AN INTERNET DEBATE so I get to enjoy hopefully being wrong.

Well, he would have to approximate what he did today every game, which won’t happen. Also, Hogan went 1 catch for 11 yards, think that’s going to happen all year? Today’s game plan favored Dorsett, but he’s no Cooks. I think over 500 yards, less than 1000 yards.

BTW Cooks had the 13th best yardage season for any Pats WR ever, yet he’s unfairly seen (by some) as soft and/or not clutch, but to me he just glided around and caught passes all day. So smooth. No, I wouldn’t have paid him 88/5, but still he was really good.

Dorsett had a good day Today wouldn't be surprised if he 0 catches against that Jags Secondary next week.

What I liked most was the way he was plucking the ball out the air with his hands not letting it get into his body. You can tell he has worked on that in the offseason.
