Likewise if it turns out he isn't. Well, no, that won't be fun if it happens. Interesting maybe.
If TB has some issue getting on the same page with one of the 4 new (ish) WRs I would probably be the first to say - Well........

To those whining about Brady needing to get on the same page with the new WRs, let's have it.

Which WR(s) is(are) going to be screwed, either this season or long term, because Hoyer is throwing in the OTA instead of Brady?

I am guessing Guerrero is telling him to stay away from OTAs for a reason.

....and Yoko told John that silly song George and Paul wrote called "Here Comes The Sun" would suck and he should stay out of the Abby Road studio in protest.

I do and I don't.

99% of his teammates are there. Most of them have families.

100% of the coaches and staff are there. Most of them also have families.

For whatever reason, Tom is staying away because he has chosen to not buy 100% into the culture of his team which at this time are those employees chosing to be at work and not with their families.

However his union has negotiated his right to stay away and he is taking advantage of it.

His absence doesn't make him right or wrong but it absolutely means he is not in 100% compliance with the culture. He's complying with his own culture.
Who says he is refusing to buy into the culture of his team?
He helped create the culture.

I think you are misusing the word culture. But that’s not your fault the media planted it.

Nope. It's me.

The culture is everyone being present for OTAs.

Tom's actions run counter to that culture.

Yes, he helped create it and now his behavior is running counter to it.

I agree, except: for all we know he had an engagement in Brazil and has talked about it with the coaches and team, and will be back asap. We just have no idea what is going on behind the scenes.

In general, though, OTAs are important and when someone deliberately skips them, that tells me that they are not putting team first. And that is sort of the Patriot's Way (putting team first). Hate to use that hackneyed expression, but there it is. He knows it.

Hey, we are lucky if it took this long for him to become a primadonna and get all butthurt when Belichick gives him the Belichick treatment.

Yep. We don't know what the deal is. Contract? Guerrero butthurt? Legit family stuff? What we do know is he is putting other stuff ahead of the team.

Kenny Britt

Corderelle Patterson

Jordan Matthews

Riley McCarron

Braxton Berrios

Phillip Dorsett could use more work too...

...as could Malcolm Mitchell...

...and I'm fairly sure that Cody Hollister would love more reps with Brady too...

...and let's not forget our new Shiny Toy Sony Michel...

...and TEs Ryan Izzo, Troy Nicklas and Will Tye, who are only fighting for their professional lives here.

There is no way that players who were in the system last year are screwed because of 9 days working with the backup, instead of Brady, this early in the off season.

Not sure what you are getting at. I was merely saying Guerrero likely had an input into Tom’s decision not to come to OTAs since Guerrerro knows Tom’s body better than anyone. Yoko, to my knowledge, knew nothing about music. Really bad analogy.

I don’t think everyone being at OTAs defines the culture. Sure it’s a piece, but the culture and character of a team manifests itself on the field and in dealing with adversity not at OTAs. Unless you think Brady has lost his teammates this is not a culture or team building issue.

Your knowledge of Yoko and her musicianship is faulty. Whether her music was good or not is a legitimate subject to debate. But, she is a musician.

He’ll work with them in mini camp and training camp.

Did Yoko work with Lennon the way Guerrero works with Brady?

Potentially all the new ones. I mean, it's impossible to quantify it, obviously, and "being screwed" isn't at all the right way to put it. But if these workouts were meaningless and didn't actually contribute to helping the team (in this specific discussion, the passing game) get better, why would they bother having them?

It might not cost them a single game. Then again, who knows. But it's all part of the process and the reason teams have these is to improve the players and the team. So missing out on it is missing out on an opportunity to improve together.

My point is I think it's silly to say AG told TB12 to stay away and TB12 agreeing he was right.
