Yards are a measurement of success, it’s literally the basis of fantasy football.

You want to pretend efficiency stats matter more, when in reality the entire receiving corps was hyper efficient. That was more to do with Drake and the offense. This is called “cherry picking.”

500 yards is 500 yards… there’s receivers who post 1500 yards. 500 yards is nothing special.

I think if Boutte was healthy those Three Games; he would post Romeo Doubs numbers at the very least. Some people are sleeping on him on here: Kyle Williams maybe Faster but he 's not a better Route Runner yet.

33 catches for 500 yards for a 1-year rental isn't going to get you more than a 6th, maybe a 5th if you're lucky because he's making so little, and is only 23.

You know how PatsFans love to overrate their own. I would keep even for this year only because: he has good chemistry with Drake Maye *caught his first TD pass*. Also Boutte would be a Great insurance policy at *WR* incase we sustain significant injuries *there*. He has also have a better read of our Offense than most of the others. That said: regarding any Trade offers nothing less than a Fourth! I would keep him if the offer is just a Fifth.

I'd keep him too. You're not going to get anything in return for him anyway, let him play it out, maybe there's an injury or something and he gets more snaps.

Depends how much someone wants him I suppose, but I think a fourth is fair.

I agree I think a 4th is pretty fair for a guy with a low salary and Boutte's potential. Now he wants a big conteact, so that may drive our compensation down. But as some of the other posters pointed out, if someone wants him bad enough, we might be able to get a fourth. Here is to hoping.

After they did that they determined they needed to get Doubs and trade for AJ Brown.

You dont do that if you think you have a guy ready to elevate his game further.

Of course that doesn't mean Boutte cant progress further. The Pats were ready to let Edelman walk in FA before he broke out.

Aa it stands, it would seem that Boutte will have a limited/reduced role from last year and you can't blame him for wanting a better opportunity than hoping the guy in front of you gets hurt.

But that also says a lot about Boutte and why I dont expect him to break out further. If he had a real fire in his belly he wouldn't be whining behind the scenes wanting a trade. He would be working his boutte off to out play Doubs and Brown and become the main guy amongst competition.

Agreed. He's more valuable to us than the pick we could get for him. And I have no doubt that McD could come up with a few plays where Boutte's able to make plays where both Doubs and Brown are on the field.

For right now, he wants out, we want some draft capital and failing that, depth. The Pats have made it clear they're supportive of the trade if the price is right, but he is a valued member of the team. You need spares at WR. The Pats are trying to be cool about it, but they're not promising to just give him away.

If the team can't get "enough", then the team can certainly afford to wait until September as they did before dumping Bourne.

Giants are going to let him walk unless he pulls another Lorenzo Alexander season out of him. This name seems to get floated around a lot, but he's been a pedestrian pass rusher for the majority of his career. Remove his 2023 season and his averaging 5.6 sacks a season. Fluke seasons seems to be a disturbing trend around the NFL.
