What Mahkus Smaht did in the last minute was incredible.

Marcus Smart offensive rebound 109 - 107 1:00
Marcus Smart makes tip shot 109 - 109 37.3
Dario Saric lost ball turnover (Smart forces TO - Al Horford steals) 109 - 109 22.5
Jayson Tatum makes layup (Marcus Smart assists) 109 - 111 18.8
Smart makes free throw 2 of 2 11.2
Ben Simmons bad pass (Marcus Smart steals) 112 - 114 0.0

Yess Mahkus Smaht;) is incredible defensively and sometimes Offensively. When he's hot he's hot but it sucks when he's not. Going to be interesting to see who they invest in going forward you have to love what Terry Rozier is doing he's a little streaky too but he gets out of his slumps quickly. I know Brad really loves Smart but he's not a Max Contract player and I can't see him taking less $$$ to stay here. I think Rozier is going to get paid but this might be his ceiling I don't see much upside to his game.

I could see Smart getting into Loves head. Seems like hesh vulnerable to that.

I know nothing about basketball though so thatt may not make sense .Would you out him on Lebron?

So who will guard lebron? That's the question and hopefully that person won't be in foul trouble all series long. I wonder if lebron will guard tatum.

Agree.

I think what he is is what he is for the rest of his career. Elite on the ball, makes-****-happen defender, sees the floor well, physical but incredibly erratic offensively.

10ppg/5/5 and with a shooting % the same as the batting average for Mookie Betts.

I wonder if we will see smart on lebron to start the series.

I think Brad will throw multiple players and schemes at LB. Hes seen everything so not much you can do to surprise him. At a minimum you will see Horford, Smart and Semi all take turns on him. I thought Brown did a nice job on him in spurts last year but my concern in extended time he'd wear down Jalen to a nub.

I'd try to keep Tatum away from him but with that said he's done better on D for a rookie that I thought he would.

LB is not shooting the 3 in the playoffs as in years past so not sure what that is about.

Either way he's still getting his 30 every game

I think we'll see primarily Jaylen guarding Lebron. Expect Mook to matchup with him often as well. That was the big talk about Morris coming in to the season that he was a very good defender against Lebron.

Maybe. All depends where he is on the floor. The great news is the Cs have a plethora of solid perimeter 6-5 to 6-11 defenders.

Check out his heat map below.

I’d be surprised if Tatum guards LeBron since whoever does will ultimately end up in foul trouble. They’ll need Tatum’s offensive presence and they can’t get that with him on the bench.

I definitely wouldn't match up Tatum on Lebron for the reason you cite and that Jaylen is simply one of the best defenders on the team outside of Smart and maybe Al.

I don't expect them to stop LeBron but JB is the best option.

Tatum's nowhere near strong enough to defend LeBron for more than an occasional floor trip. Brown, Smart, Morris, Ojuleye and the bigs will probably take turns trying to wear LeBron down.

As per usual I don't claim to be an authority here but why not put Smart on LeBron? He's arguably the best defender on the team and wouldn't be missed too much (at least offensively) if fouled out.

I see now there's 4 inches separating the two, although I don't know the implications of that.

Because they're probably going to throw variations of man and zone at LeBron. I suspect he'll see a good amount of Smart, though.

I suppose that means "who do they put on LeBron?" is kind of a fallacious question then.

I think so ... no big on the Celtics can keep up with him.
I think Brown can but then we sacrifice a scorer ...

Zone is probably going to be the way to go. Flood those lanes to prevent LeBron getting into the paint as much as possible and force low percentage shots. Easier said than done, obviously, but that's what I would expect.

Absolutely because his greatest weapon is the pass and it leads to his scoring in the lane.

I hope his choad falls off between now and Friday.

We call him LeChoad in my house ... small big man with his antics.

Yep. And nobody else on the Cavs is knocking down open jumpers with any kind of consistency. Man, it's a shame that you guys lost Kyrie and Hayward. This is definitely the year to knock them off.
