Aqib Talib’s top FA Destination is the Patriots - Update Traded to Rams

Aqib paired with Gillmore, gives you infinite matchup combinations. Also lots of good slot CB's in the middle rounds (levi Wallace anyone). Combine them with Dmac, and Harmon, and hopefully Chung and a long term replacement for him, to push him in his final contract year, and you have a secondary that I feel confident matching up with any team in the league.

The only other corners in the league that id prefer, who offer you infinite combinations to cover any type of receiver, would be Patrick Peterson and Jalen Ramsey.

According to PFF, his stats were bordering amazing. Only 250 yards allowed all season. and not a single play over 30 yards all season, proving he still has speed in his legs.

All depends on which Talib we get.

If its DEN Talib even as a CB2 I'm ok.

If its 2012 Talib who tapped out with a bum wheel no thanks.

Yes! I was worried about our secondary, him and Gilmore new No Fly Zone

I love Qib's interviews. I may only understand 1 out of every 5 words but the Dude still cracks me up.

what if we get talib, and sherman, both on deals for like 5 mil a year.

I like the fact we have J.Jones coming back, i think he will be our slot guy going forward. Think hes underated. Another thing i saw was PFF had him ranked 3rd best in the slot with QB Rating.

The NFL would probably change the secondary rules again once teams start complaining (Petyon Manning)

Only difference is he already made his money this time. So he has no reason to back out anymore.

Except he’s older and not as good anymore...

With Talib our secondary would be as good as we hoped last years would be.

Well let’s hold off there a bit. Talib isn’t what he once was. Still outta be a nice piece if we put him in a position to succeed.

I'm still salty at how Talib went into ironman mode in Denver while a minor hip injury kept him out of 2013 AFCCG. I'd prefer Sherman instead.

Talib wants to be a free agent so he can get paid. We might be his preference but will we pay him more than someone else.

He'd be a nice replacement for Butler though.

Talib is,and has been, a superior cb to Sherman for a few years.
Sherman now coming off an Achilles: no thanks. I've always liked him but don't expect much outta him at this point.
