I am rewatching the Giants/Eagles game again and the guy Manning was abusing early on was Ronald Darby. Was playing off early and when he come up tight, they blew by him.

The other thing from the Eagles Giants game is that Foles is always looking downfield. Even when he is pressured, his eyes are downfield and he is looking for a big play.

Big part of “advanced RPO” especially if the Keeper is not an option.

I am talking about when the pocket has collapsed, Foles is still looking to make plays. He does not turtles and look for quick dump offs.

Darby got his pick but it was a bar route and a bad throw.

So, now that we are in Super Bowl week, what are the odds the majority of talking heads pick the Eagles to win it all? You just get this sentiment, in all the puff pieces we are seeing about the Eagles, there is a great yearning to see the Pats go down.

Unable to watch the rub routes video right now- does anyone know philly’s man/zone tendencies?

The Secret to Running on the Patriots.

Based on that game, wouldn't the secret be letting NE get a big lead and run against nickel all day? And wasn't that game before RJF and Harrison, with perhaps another DL missing?

IIRC, the most successful running play was also Marsh's last scrimage snap as a Patriot. Trying to use that game as a Philly blueprint is a fool's errand.

Well that's not really fair as he shows the trend persisted through the Jaguars game. A bit too quick to dismiss.

You're right, after reading I dismissed it a bit too easily. That said, I think Sharp overlooks how game plan oriented NE is. If they are playing teams who don't run much out of 11, of course they are going to be hurt by runs from that formation. They can't stop everything!

In this game, however, NE will be keying in on runs more often when Philly is in 11. It's possible that there is a fatal flaw that simply cannot be papered over, but I'm going to guess that Philly doesn't average 6+ ypc with 70+% successful runs.

In the interest of full disclosure, if that is what the Eagles think they need to do to get the running game going, I'm all for it.

Yep, establish that run. More rushing attempts than Jacksonville had. That's the winning strategy for Philadelphia. Do it.
