In all honesty of those teams I DO NOT wanna see Carolina.
Cam is one of those "rise above" players. At the same time he'll **** the bed against a lesser team.
He sure 'rose above' when he got his shot at a Super Bowl.

I think a healthy Hogan and Mitchell has the potential to really make the O hum.
I doubt that Mitchell does much of anything. He hasn't played football for a calendar year.

True, but he very well could be an improvement over a guy like Britt.

If Belichick puts him in there, it will be because he has seen enough in practice to justify the move.

The offensive gameplan was about as vanilla as can be for this game. Lots of the same wham play on the runs and long developing, deep crossing patterns. I take a whole lot of "not much" out of the offensive stats today except "yards after contact".
In other words, really useful film for upcoming opponents to study - NOT!

I mean come on ref! They always call that intentional grounding call on brady, but never anyone else!
Belichick seemed unhappy about the call. Anyone know if there was something specific he was objecting to?

I would not expect anything from a player that as not been on the field since before September and might actually not even get activated. Hopefully Hogan gets closer to 100%.

Most probably the fact that there was no imminent pressure on Brady. Grounding requires that last I checked..

Exactly. I read Belichick's lips. He said no one was in 5 yards if him

My memory could be playing tricks but in '16 wasn’t there a case of a receiver who was out for a while and had some uncharacteristic drops when he returned initially? Edelman? I would guess that receiver is the position that is the most sensitive to rust, because of the delicacy, timing and touch required to play the position, but it's just a guess.

I think he was more ****y than dumb. Triplin thought that he could save a roster spot but keep him around.
yep. Thought they could play Belichickian shadow roster games. Then... oops.

That’s exactly what he was objecting to. There was no imminent loss of yardage due to pressure from the defense because no defensive player was near Brady. He was right.
