Guy was JAG, Butler a UDFA, and Wise a late rd. Pick. Branch is a journeyman who missed a lot of time abd Brown is the only one with a high pick attached to him. Flowers is the only one who teams scheme for. I love it but it’s not like they are highly touted.

Guy was not a “JAG“. He was very good in Baltimore but it was a position of depth for them and being low on cap they had to let him go. Those who watched him could expect this sort of season from him in a bigger role. He is Pats #1 front 7 player this season in my book keeping the line honest through injuries and Branch bad form..

The story of Pats front 7 this year on this Lee safety. Players no one thought would play serious snaps this year here all making nice & orchestrated plays: M.Flowers faking edge rush and dropping to spy, A.Butler keeping 2 OL busy & moving QB from his spot, Wise setting the edge so QB has only one way to go, Lee legitimately 2-gapping (sending QB outside - see shot 2 where he hints covering inside) and shedding his blocker at the right time to embrace Petty..

(good coverage by secondary in the background)

Oh yes, and not forcing Gronk, keeping him for the playoffs made my day as well.

Well I see 2 bird teams, so that automatically means we have a 50% chance of winning the SB

In all honesty of those teams I DO NOT wanna see Carolina.
Cam is one of those "rise above" players. At the same time he'll **** the bed against a lesser team.

The one thing to note is that Josh & co are still desperately trying to get Cooks involved more than just on his usual routes but something just keeps going wrong almost every time. The one time the screen worked it went immediately for 8 yards. Unfortunately other times a blocker screws up, Cooks doesnt cleanly catch the ball or simply takes the wrong route away from blockers and ends up stopped by the first defender.

I think a healthy Hogan and Mitchell has the potential to really make the O hum.

Is #71 looking for a shovel pass on this play.

#71 played that pretty well. Petty had a nice pocket and decided to run into trouble instead.

He **** the bed today for sure. He was horrible.
