Great to see Miguel's face on this site even if it's just a tweet.
He clarified the IR-designation rule today in another thread. He’s still a very valuable contributor to the forum. I’m guessing that it won’t be quite as often with his additional responsibilities/new gig, that’s all.

Edit: it is good to see his mug. No doubt.

Binkie for some in draft forum IIRC . might brighten up this sad roster day for them..
Versatile S and ST, PR and KR, ex QB. Projected as high as 3rd round. Bad Combine pushed him to UDFA.

I think you recall correctly.

one ex Pat becomes available for PS
and one finds new team
  • Chiefs signed WR Devin Lucien to their practice squad.

Lucien:
Waived/INJ by NE in cutdowns, 9/2
Unclaimed, reverted to IR 9/3
Released from NE-IR with settlement 9/6

Signed to IND-ps 9/12; moved to IR 9/16; released with settlement 10/3.

Would likely have become eligible to be re-signed by the Pats sometime during the past week or two.

Inquiring minds Really want to hear something about WR Malcolm Mitchell. I think he's better option right than DT VV if healthy.

One possiblility for Kumerow's release is, I hope, that Mitchell might be farther along in his rehab than we feared. Probably not, but one can dream.
We have 2 other WR on the PS, very unlikely this has anything to do with Mitchell.

It's also possible that Kumerow was around mostly for scout team duties - to give the defense a second tall WR to practice against. Then, too, the PS was down to one OL for a bit there.

Also, Fabiano put up some pretty good testing numbers for an OG:
6036/303 .. 5.04/40, 1.68/10yd .. 25 rep .. 32.5 vert/108 lj .. 4.42 ss/7.41 3c

The Pats originally worked him out September 29th, and just signed him now.

Bottom line is that overthinking PS moves is pretty easy for me.

And that is why we keep certain ST players like Grissom and Bolden around. They have shown to be solid-to-good contributors on ST, are emergency depth in case of injuries and can be managed via the good old shadow roster in case moves need to be made without exposing younger players like Hollister or Croston on waivers.

Guess BB thinks Ayers is done I would have at least kick the tires we need a pass rush.

We do need a pass rush, but we need that rush to come from our DEs;
we need LBs who can cover the flat, and Ayers can't help us there.
