Bryant still wants out of Pittsburgh

They may already have him on the practice squad - McCarron. But he’s not likely to get activated unless there is a string of injuries. Mitchell coming back will help, though.

It looks pretty likely that Mitchell is not coming back. Have no idea about McCarron so cant say anything about it.

Good Point

Bryant probably has more physical talent than any WR patriots could get on the market for cheap

And serious drug and entitlement issues. Yeah no thanks..

They’re not taking on a malcontent this year. Further, the Steelers would do everything possible to make sure he doesn’t end up in New England.

Yes but it's not like BB hasn't taken fliers on trouble makers before..

And like I said Bryant's height and length is something we don't have at WR

But I do not see Pittsburgh letting him go to NE agree there

Yeah, but the patriots have taken fliers on domestic violence abusers (Dillon), locker room cancers (moss) , a player convicted of manslaughter (stallworth), a substance abuser (Floyd) and a player who committed felony (Talib)

Bb will go after a guy if he wants him

Unless Mitchell's done in New England, there doesn't seem to be room for another OWR right now (It's both strange and great to be able to say that). What's needed is an all around WR (a/k/a if you're going to go for a drug case, wait on Gordon and really live on the edge) or a slotWR for the future.

Think Brady would welcome him with open arms?
Yes, naturally, he sounds like everything the organization looks for in a player. I bet he’d pick up the complicated system in hours. His attitude seems to be great and he has always put football and his teammates above all else.

I bet Brady would personally meet him at the airport.

Could have said the same about Dillon Moss and Talib prior to their arrivals

Yes, Dillon, Moss, and Talib all failed many drug tests, blew multiple opportunities, had substance abuse problems, and were suspended indefinitely at one point.

Where do you keep getting this stuff with these comparisons?

If one goes down it is.

@KontradictioN

For this season I don't think an additional WR is a need. The combination of Amendola, Lewis, White and possibly Burkhead are filling the Edelman void although I don't think that's going to be completely filled.

If both MM and VV are healthy enough to return I suspect they'll opt for VV simply because his value to this team's need would be greater.

There's only 53 spots and as of right now I don't see WR as either a weakness or lacking depth. Dorsett has already shown he can contribute and I expect to see more of him as the season progresses.

Bryant has clearly put himself above the team on numerous occasions. He's been suspended repeatedly for for recreational drug use and demanded to be traded from a winning team instead of trying to find some way to contribute to winning games.

These behaviors aren't accidental. They're indicative of a player who only shows up to play when he feels like it.

Dillon..convicted of beating his wife..police responded to the scene found mrs Dillon bleeding excessively from her mouth. Also walked into tunnel during 4th quarter of game before time expired quitting on team

Moss. Kicked out of college for failed drug tests..was lucky to play in the late 90s in NFL where drug testing was not as strict as today. Admitted on live tv in 2003 he smokes weed. Showed complete lack of respect for team when he purposely didn't run routes and stopped trying his best in 2006.

Talib assault and battery on taxi driver in 2009 along with resisting arrest. In 2011 aggravated assault with a deadly weapon for attempting to shoot someone.

Stallworth convicted of manslaughter, serves prison sentence. Later signed to patriots in 2012

Michael Floyd 3 failed drug tests..

But I guess martavius Bryant smoking dope every so often and complaining about not getting the Ball is far more serious than some of these offenses

If they want to pay someone to fail a drug test, they know where I'm at.

So recreational drug use is worse than domestic violence and convicted felonies?

And what about bb picking up recreational drug abuser Michael Floyd?

This guy is obviously an idiot, why would anyone want them on their team? Let alone give up anything meaningful in a trade? The Steelers won't release him, because he would probably go to Baltimore, as they have nobody left at WR.

In the NFL, YES! Look at Josh Brown, one game for wife beating, Ray Lewis what 4 games for killing a guy. He got suspended for a whole season for weed!

Nobody is rationalizing or approving of the NFL stances on this, they are just merely stating the facts.
