my votes would go to:

Dillon
George
Moss
TO
Faneca
Hutchinson
Newton
Lewis
Urlacher
Dawkins
Woodson
Law
Rodney

You could make a real case for 3 OL in 1 class with Faneca, Hutchinson and Newton

Based on the stats:
  • Moss should get in this year
  • Big Sey will probably have to wait at least year or two because he doesn't have the Sack numbers that Sapp or Strahan have
  • Law should get in eventually because of his interception numbers and return yards but no guarantees
  • Dillon probably wont get in because there's too much competition at RB
  • Rodney doesnt have the numbers IMO but strange things happen to media personalities up for the HOF votes

McGinest won three Superbowls and holds the NFL record for sacks in the post-season. That should be enough to get him in.

I would love to see Tedy Bruschi get in, but I don't think that is going to happen.

Randy Moss and Ray Lewis are first year locks to get in.

A few Pats on the list, not sure if any other than Randy will make it this year.

Funniest thing about these nominees is that they confused the Panthers' Steve Smith with the Giants' Steve Smith.

108 Modern-Era Nominees For The Hall of Fame's Class of 2018 | Pro Football Hall of Fame Official Site

Corey Dillon
Fred Taylor (2 years here)
Randy Moss
Ben Coates
Richard Seymour
Tedy Bruschi
Willie McGinest
Rodney Harrison
Ty Law

Other Patriots:
Chad Johnson (the less said, the better)
Henry Ellard (5 games to end his career in 1998)
Torry Holt (didn't make it through training camp)
Rich Gannon (drafted by Patriots)

I don't think Willie McGinest belongs in the Hall of Fame. Very good player for a long time, never great.

I don't think Urlacher belongs in the Hall of Fame. Guy was always overhyped, he had two or three great seasons but was overrated for most of his career.

For finalists, I'd vote (top 5 at top):
1. Ray Lewis
2. Randy Moss
3. Tony Boselli
4. Terrell Owens
5. Steve Tasker

6. John Lynch
7. Richard Seymour
8. Steve Hutchinson
9. Alan Faneca
10. Ty Law
11. Brian Dawkins
12. Rodney Harrison
13. Alan Faneca
14. Zach Thomas
15. Isaac Bruce

The whole 100+ list had a lot of good players in it.

I didn't think either Steve Smith would be eligible, I thought there was a five year waiting period after retirement.

It's time for a dynasty era Pat to make the hall!

My Top Five

LB Ray Lewis
WR Randy Moss
DE/LB Willie McGinest
T Joe Jacoby
QB Randall Cunningham

Lewis, Moss, TO, Faneca IMO

Also would say Neal, but being arguably the greatest blocking fullback of all-time likely isn't enough to get him in anytime soon..

Neal and Tasker deserve to be in (as will Slater someday), but so does Ted Washington... and he's not even a finalist. There are some positions that, even if you're the greatest in history at them, just don't matter to voters.

Moss has to get in, I think he's a no-brainer first ballot guy.

After him, I think Harrison and McGinest both belong. Dillon probably should get in, though I don't particularly care either way. I don't think Bruschi had the longevity to get in, though I would love to see it happen. Likewise, I'd love to see Seymour, Coates and Law get in, but think Coates and Seymour both probably lack the longevity you'd need. Law has a good shot.

For this year's ballot, I would probably go Moss, Lewis, TO, Harrison, and maybe Faneca. Hard to say between him and Hutchinson, but one of them would have to wait, along with McGinest, Dawkins, Law and Dillon. All should get in eventually, as I think they're all deserving.

No T.O. in the hall is a disgrace. Right there it shows you the process is flawed and total b.s.

Troy Brown >>> Steve Tasker

Certainly a better receiver and blocker and runner on offense, obviously better on defense, and more valuable on special teams as a returner than Tasker was as a gunner. And oh yeah, superior in making the crucial play to win his team an AFC championship and Super Bowl in consecutive games. We have to assume Troy will never get his yellow jacket, right? If not then Tasker getting in and not Troy would suck.

Law deserves to be there, I'd want him at corner over several corners who already made it and don't have anything close to Ty's production in conference playoffs and Super Bowls (Aeneas Williams to cite one recent example).

As for the other Pats I'm not optimistic that anyone other than Vinitieri and possibly Harrison gets in. Obviously I'm not including BB or TB12 in that, they will certainly get in. I wouldn't be surprised if Kraft got in either (but if it were up to me no owner other than Halas and Al Davis belong there and for them it is for football exploits and not marketing exploits).

For me the first guy I'd want to put in if I were somehow granted a "one wish" would be Bruschu. For me he was the most inspiring guy in the team. But I don't expect the Peter Kings and Vic Carrucis in there to give him that honor (or Wrong Borges to fight for him - he only fights guys in wheelchairs I think).

Isn't Rodney Harrison the only player in NFL history with 30 sacks and 30 interceptions?

Plus incredible postseason stats, 2 Super Bowl rings

Ray Lewis did it too but I think that's it.

Rodney, Ty, and Willie should go in together this year.

He was the first. Lewis eventually joined that exclusive club. Both deserve the Hall.

Dislike Ray Lewis highly. I know his play is deserving but from an outsider who doesn't know the guy, this is an ugly human being who was atleast involved in a double murder.

If TO can get the treatment from voters I'm hoping Ray Lewis can as well. Absolutely cannot and will not watch his speech if it happens. He doesn't deserve my attention for that day imo.
