It's easy, and only takes a few moments.Absolutely the Nets have improved this year - they made a lot out of a little.I'm a Nets fan. Kyrie is 4 years younger, better, and the Nets aren't likely to have a pick as high as they did last year (and even sneaking into the playoffs isn't totally out of the question). Thomas is a fan favorite but it's a good trade for the Celtics.
Well, no, no one's beating GS this year. But next year?It makes the Celtics better. Maybe better than Cleveland even.
However lets be real. In the end this is a deal to win the conference not the championship. I don't think a deal that could beat GSWs was possible. Maybe if you combine the Celtics/Cavs rosters you'd have a good shot... maybe.

Irving is a top 5 player in the league, Hayward, Horford,Tatum and by 2019 Brown might be a legit superstar. That team beats GS. Not to mention Kyrie will attract other top fas. C's could be absolutely loaded by 2019, positioned to be long-term title contenders.
Agree.Yes, but it would seem it's going to be a one year replacement. Even if IT has another great season, it seems CLE is going to be dumping salaries and rebuilding.
The brooklyn pick is what bothers me too. I'd give then the c's #1 but brooklyn is to much imo. I will miss IT.Kyrie is a major upgrade, but its the Brooklyn #1 that bothers me.
Oth, C's are still loaded with young talented players with huge upside,e.g., Tatum and brown.
The C's will be better this year because of the trade. But the jury will be out for 2 years when we find out: a. Just how good was the Brooklyn pick? and b. Does Kyrie stay with C's?

That team in 2019 doesn't beat Golden State unless they add someone else. I think even now we don't fully understand just how utterly loaded Golden State is. They have 2 players more impactful than Irving on their team and behind them they have legit stars as well. They are just so good and i hate how unfair it is. I don't think I have ever seen such an unfairly stacked team in the NBA in all my years. Maybe the Bulls 1 year but GSWs are set to keep this group together for years and years.
