We need you at DE though Bill. : /

Glad he is back. Sad to hear he had to be helped off. Kind of odd for a shoulder/arm injury. IDK what that says about his toughness.

Updates on Rivers please

Uhhh... Has a leg injury... Right now he is day to day like everyone else *snort*.

In all seriousness though as soon as I find any i will post it as will anyone else who finds it i am sure.

Can Adam Butler play some DE?
Guy would play there first IMO.
If we started the season without Wise, Rivers and Ealy, I would expect a rotation of Flowers playing the bulk of the snaps, with Guy (early downs) McClellin and Van Noy and possibly Grissom. If Butler made the team he could be a Guy sub, or inside rusher on 3rd down.

That would be my guess. I want to see how he performs in game 2. He was pretty disruptive at times in game 1 fwiw.

Wow. The guy got a stinger and came out for a few plays, and you want to question his toughness?

can. did vs JAX. just not your designated outside rusher.
it will be about schemes so i wouldn't panic about certain thin position..

LT is a bit different story..
I think "DE" has depth but PASS RUSHER doesn't, unless we start bringing guys like McClellin and Van Noy (and of course Rivers if he is OK) into he mix.
I am not at all worried about DE on early downs, or interior pass rush on passing downs, but the edge rush on 3rd down and 2 minute concerns me, and the depth concerns me even more.

Of course, the homerun move would be to turn HT into Willie McGinest at least in passing situations.

I am questioning why he needed help to come off the field for an upper body injury. Not exactly normal. If It was an ankle or leg sure it makes sense but why would someone need help with a shoulder/arm injury to get off the field. It makes no sense.

Freeney still available FA

Of course it makes sense. He got a stinger and the medical staff came out to check on him. It doesn't say he was carried off.
Your questioning his toughness makes no sense. Have you ever had a shoulder/neck/upper body injury from playing football against 300 lb OL?

Do believe that was (part of) the plan all along or at least w opp. to get Harris (even before Ninko bye).

They played Freeny and Grissom a lot vs JAX there . not the same cloth though . but might make the team and play so something to monitor.

KVN showing good versatility also improving in coverage (also acc. to Chatham) can help HT rushing as well..
