I doubt Edelman will make more than 6M per Year, which makes me very happy to keep him for 2 more years

I am always curious how fans think they know what kind of guy players are. Not busting your balls just something I always find curious.

Its mostly based on gut but I'm not blind to the fact that JE11 wanted to get paid. He just doesn't strike me as someone who as a FA would leave NE for another $500k to play for say Philly. Could be part of how he has crafted his image but I think hes pretty genuine.

I don't think though that we want Edelman to turn into amendola.

DA maybe but TB80 for sure....25-35 catches a year and coming up big it the post-season at say 34-35 years old? I'll take that.

What was he due this year - $5 mil+? So $16 mil over next 3 years - guaranteed 14 (5+9). Total is team friendly - guaranteed not bad for Jules. Definite discount - no desire to go the Welker route.

Usually they are the same.
But again, if you are trying to be funny, keep trying. Or find a different horse to ride.

So their entire receiving corps is locked up for at least the next two seasons, I pity the fool.......

I like how much money the Pats are throwing around this off season. I said before and will say again was the year to do it. Cap it going up the next nearly 20M in the next 2 years and a lot of these deals will look good at that point.

He's already one of the all-time great Patriots. Not Brady, Hog,Haynes,Gronk great(all hofers), but he's right there in the next group that includes Tippett,Law,Antwine, etc. imo. Also top 5 of my personal all time favorite Pats. The dude can ball. He's been a top 10 wr for several years, I say he's better than that. Top 7. Don't ever wanna see him in another uni. Now looks like he'll retire a Patriot.

Nice security at his age with that contract. Shows he's highly thought of.

Yes, we are loaded, but it's up to chemistry now. That's a lot of receivers,
RB receivers and TEs to utilize and keep in tune.

Pretty hard to do, frankly. Of course, a fraction of that group could win a SB, so it will be quite a challenge for Brady if they are all healthy.

Glass half full says, everyone has some injuries. Our receivers could have major issues [no jinx] and still kill. I've never seen such depth in receiving talent, certainly not on this team.

Love this! Congrats Jules! WW was an excellent slot receiver and probably has twice as many catches and yards........having said that I'd take JE any day of the week over Wes. First off Jules isn't done, and secondly JE doesn't drop the ball in the second Giant Super Bowl. Just my take.

No doubt. He replaced the greatest slot receiver, when dola got hurt, and out did him as a receiver. Almost forgetting the multiple 100 seasons of WWW.

Really good value here. A boost in pay and more time to enhance his already great Pats career.
