If this is true, the decision is between NE and Pittsburgh, not the Jets.
Speaking of which, if I were Hightower I would ask for a clause which gives him the chance to void the deal if Belichick is no longer the coach for any reason.Another consideration in signing with the Jets is that there is a very strong likelihood of a coaching change--and therefore scheme change--on the D while HT is there. What would that do to his role? Would another DC value him in a different scheme?
