It's ok, some people still overvalue flashy, tempermental, prima donna speedster WRs over a reliable team-player who catches everything that ever comes his way in the most key situations.

Yep go ahead and pull out the Rudy card on me. I'm not buying it, neither will rationale football minds. Danny Amendola is a very clutch performer, team player, hard worker, a guy everyone roots for. But this doesn't negate the huge disparity in speed skill talent PRODUCTION of which Jackson possesses over Amendola. Amenolda is a 4th option on most teams. Jackson is a 1/2 option on most teams, and his stats blow away amendolas.

Jackson puts up consistent 1000 plus yard seasons while Amendola put up less than 500 a year for the last 4 seasons.

And some value WRs who can put up consistent 1000 plus yard season over those who put up less than 500 a year for the last 4.

I don't like Jackson at all, but this idea that we have to turn Amendola into some kind of urban legend of clutchness because his overall production is weak, is really getting out of hand. And I love Amendola, but he is as JAGGY as a JAG gets.

totally agree

Texans don't have a chance vs. us without Bouye. Looks like their window to beat us with elite defense was 1 year and Brock blew it.

I'm hoping the silence on Hightower is a good sign, we'll see?
I was wondering the same. He's gotta be one of the biggest available FAs on the market. The fact that we aren't hearing much might mean that he's more inclined to stay than to field a ton of offers. He will listen to a couple, probably, and then talk to Bill about it.

Chicken Little here! The thing that is frustrating to me is that the Patriots seem
to be spending more time re-signing a #3 tight end coming off ACL surgery than
re-signing starting players.

Better guys out there on the market.

Definitely worth monitoring ..

Notes:
1. Bills have again low cap
2. Its a 5th rounder (+ doesn't count against FA comp picks equation, of course )
3. In 5th round at the moment you could possibly draft RB prospects like: Conner, Mack, McGuire...

Gillislee is a very good RB. Would be an interesting signing.

It takes time. Nothing happens automatically or when you want it to, especially when it comes to FA. Guys are going to listen to offers and then go back to the Pats to see what they do. It's not just a one day or one week process.

They might do it for 32 alone - apparently the Pats wanted to swap picks.

So they send them #32, they send us #11 + Cooks? Works for me

They sign the players who are willing to take their offers, not those who don't.

Or it's just Belichick looking to destroy the team, just as he did when he traded Jamie Collins and ruined their chance for a Lombardi?

Belichick sucks, he doesn't know what he's doing.

AFC title vs. Romo?

Do you think the patriots have told Hightower Bennett branch etc that they are sorry but they do not have time to talk with them because they are dealing with Michael Williams?
Negotiating a contract isn't a 24/7 communication. Many can be happening side by side.
