On to Houston....

Roethlisberger was in a boot in the post-game pressed.

If BR is out or hampered it does change my outlook on the game. But if he is at or very close to 100% I have greater faith in Pitt's ability to turn it up a notch than I do KC.
Put another way:
Possibility (A) KC is down by a score with 2 minutes left and a score wins them the game.
Possibility (B) Pitt is down by a score with 2 minutes left and a score wins them the game.

From my own personal prognostication perspective I like Pitt much better than I like KC in that scenario. And because of that, and a few other things, I give the edge to and expect Pitt to win this game. We shall see... (most importantly I want them both to beat the sh!+ out of each other. I want either team 'draggin ass' on their travels to Foxboro)

Very Good defense, Brady needs to be calm, even if he is hit in the beginning of the game. The only way for us to lose, is if we play very badly on offense

LOL, I know eh! I guess with the Giants out now that the Packers are the boards new NFC boogeyman, but that'll change around 7:30pm eastern next saturday night when Seattle or Atlanta becomes the new feared team, it's getting hard to keep track these days

Don't underestimate Houston then KC then the Giants....er I mean Green Bay (or is it Dallas?) to be the boogeyman chronology.

And we are on to KC/Pitt.. This is the biggest lay up since Indy in the 2014 AFCC

Jimmy has not played a meaningful snap in MONTHS. I doubt he is ready to step in and play like he did at the beginning of the year.
If Brady suddenly couldn't start would you expect a loss? Me neither.

I remember when Woody Paige thought the Broncos had a lay-up against the Jaguars.

Just saying, dont ignore a playoff team, regardless of past history or season record.

One game season so anything can happen. But "not this team, not this team".

AFCCG? That's another story. That will likely be tough.

So do you think that the Texans will find some "cheating" on the part of the Pats? Like maybe swiping Gostkowski's kicking tee and finding that it elevates the ball one-quarter inch higher than NFL regs.

This week will be like it was before the 2014 AFCCG, when some people here were super nervous about playing the Colts, because they thought fans overlooking an opponent had any effect on the outcome of a game, even though deep down everyone knew it would be a raping.

It's ok to say it. The Pats will win this game by 20-30 points without breaking a sweat.

kansas city/steelers, seattle/atlanta, pittsburgh/kansas city...houston/patriots...one of these things is not like the other.

im sorry guys, I know we are supposed to be chicken littles and be scared of houston. but I dont see any way houston comes in and wins this game.
i'm gonna go with this one since you already listed that matchup.

If we somehow survive Houston, Steelers will be the next team we will be scared sh*tless to face.

Remember how scary it was the last time we faced them in an AFCCG? Here's a reminder:

  • No boneheaded turnovers
  • No boneheaded special teams plays
  • Few penalties

It will be interesting to see if KC continues to benefit from STs and defensive scoring, or if those opportunities suddenly dry up at the most inopportune time of the season.

I don't think Pittsburgh gets out of Arrowhead with a victory, myself. I think the atmosphere, noise, defense, and short passing attack of Smith and a very underrated receiving corps is too much for Pittsburgh to overcome. Should be a good one.

Not much to compare with that game aside from the starting QBs, but it's been great to see that kind of dominance against a tough opponent.

I think the current team poses a challenge with Roethlisberger, Brown, and Bell, who just today finally played their first postseason game together. No one should be "scared," though.

Sup, I can't remember the last time we were on the opposite ends of the prediction spectrum.
This time around serious bragging rights are on the line
