I'm probably over-glamourizing the 2005 run in my mind but I still think they wouldn't be as rattled on the road as some other teams.

Since 2012, their 21-20 away record during that time is still the best of the other remaining AFC teams (Pats were 27-14 on the road in the same span).
There is one person left from 2005.

best case scenario in my eyes for the pats in increase order of difficulty

Oakland/Houston/KC/Pittsburgh/Lions/Atlanta/Giants/GB/Seattle/Dallas

Ranking playoff teams 1 being the best.

1. Patriots
2. Cowboys
3. Atlanta
4. Steelers
5. Green Bay
6. Giants
7. Kansas City
8. Seattle
9. Lions
10. Miami
11. Houston
12. Oakland

List is actually a lot harder to rank. Alot of this rating is based on how teams are playing now and Injuries.

For those fearing Pittsburgh and their offense, some interesting stats:

Big Ben at home this yr: 71%, 320 YPG, 20 TD, 5 INT, 102.8 QB RTG

Big Ben on the road: 59%, 238 YPG, 9 TD, 8 INT, 78.4 QB RTG

i would like to see Pitt. lose personally I don't think the KC matchup is very scary.

For crying out loud.... It's not about "fear". It's about avoiding a 2010 outcome.

I'm with you. There are a few diferent paths to the Super Bowl. It's perfectly expected that fans would discuss the pro's and con's of each one. And yes, some matches provide more 'margin for error' than others............why does everyone translate that to FEAR?

It's not fear, it's normal fan discussion. The Pats are the #1 seed for a reason and rightfully should be favored in any matchup against an AFC opponent. Still, certain paths provide more risk than others.

If you don't fear them, then there's no reason to assume that post was directed at you. To deny that there are posters on this forum who lose their **** at the prospect of playing the Steelers is silly. That's who the post was for.

I'd rather not face the Dolphins because division games are always a toss up. Remember Jets? Also Suh is dirty. So that means I'd root for Pittsburgh. Even if Pittsburgh beats the Chefs at Arrowhead, they are already 1 day behind as we play saturday AT HOME and they play Sunday ON THE ROAD. Then they have to get back to ****sburgh and then travel to Gillette. A lot of that travelling will take a toll of their bodies. Not to mention, they'll be playing one extra game this weekend.

People attacking others for "fearing" the Steelers are being idiots. The Steelers and Chiefs, obviously, have the game breakers that are capable of making the kinds of quick strike plays that can beat a heavy favorite.

People "fearing" and experiencing the severe anxiety they display on these forums at the prospect of playing any team are incredibly effeminate and definitely deserve the most extreme type of ridicule. They also need psychiatric help. I haven't seen you behave in that manner, so I wasn't aware you belonged to the group I was addressing, but maybe you do.

The Pats could experience another "2010 scenario" against virtually any of the remaining teams if they come in over confident and lay an egg. Everyone is aware of that fact, and it doesn't take much insight to realize it or post about it.

You're the guy who was positive that the Patriots were going to smoke the Broncos in the last two AFCCG losses, and ended up looking like the biggest ass on this forum, so you should know better than to be posting the nonsense you're posting.

I could predict NE to win every single playoff game, and in the Brady/Belichick era I'd be right far more often than not.

Regardless, being wrong about the outcome of a football game doesn't really mean much to me. I've been wrong before, and I'll be wrong again. I assure you that being wrong or looking like the biggest ass on an online forum is not the end of the world.

I think the chiefs are a better matchup for us. While they are ridiculously hard to beat in arrowhead I see us doing to them what we did in last years divisional round.

Stop the run and make alex smith have to beat you. And I dont think he can. You get up early on them and i think it would be hard for them to come back

The steelers with those receivers and that running game can go score for score with us. Granted our defense is better than theirs and would give us the upper hand

Pittsburg barely made it to playoffs and are not as good as people seem to think, especially against the pats. They are better than Miami though and will win that game leaving us playing Houston/Oakland. This is as good a road to the superbowl as we could dream of.

Maybe, but not necessarily. They're a different team on the road. They've struggled away from Heinz Field, and that's one of their fanbase's biggest concerns.

Barely?? They were 11-5. Nobody else in their division was close to that. And I've seen teams that barely made the playoffs beat the patriots before. *Giants*. Also, I don't think the steelers are some power team, I just think they are more than capable of beating the pats. More so than any other team in the AFC. Hence why I along with most want them eliminated.

It is what it is. Nobody was more wrong than you, and you have zero credibility on the topic, as a result. So you calling out others for having more concern about one team or another, given the stupidity of your recent takes on the subject, is absurd.

The Pats have a double bye week. I would say they are most likely playing lol.. the Texans in the divisional.. I think if the Pats turned the ball over 4 times they will beat the Texans.

So we are in the AFCC with either Pitt or KC standing in our way to the 7th Super Bowl appearance with TB/BB combo.

If this team's good enough they will beat whoever. I am not overlooking nobody.
