2017 Draft Preview: Very deep at RBs, DEs, and DBs. Historically weak QB class

Id like to get a rb as one of the priorities. Blount had a great year but hes up there age wise. Id like to land someone who can do what he did this year or a little more for the last few brady years.

One of the most encouraging parts of this season is thanks to the success defensively and commitment to run we dont need to have brady dropping back 30+ times a game weekly anymore.

If we want Blount 2.0 then Foreman from Texas would be a nice pickup. He's extremely similar in size and running style, but he's quicker in the backfield and faster once he's through the hole. He should be available late 1st - mid 2nd, but I don't think it's likely the Patriots take a RB that high. Mid rounds is their MO for the last decade. Maroney was our last 1st round RB. Shame he never panned out, because he had some serious talent. Ah well.

I'm a fan of Jamaal Williams or Wayne Gallman in the 4th. Gallman is criminally underrated. He reminds me a ton of Bilal Powell. We'll see how things shake out at the Senior Bowl and combine, etc. Might be some other gems.

Not to toot my own horn too much, but I'm starting a new series in the draft thread specifically for DE/DL, mostly focused on pass rushers. We're just getting started, so no breakdowns yet, but I've listed about 30 prospects of interest that I'm going to evaluate over the next few weeks. DL & EDGE Players: Run stuffers, designated pass rushers, hybrids, etc

Bumping... in light of recent report of interest in a Jimmy G. trade by the Browns

Trubisky v teams top 30 in pass defense and total yards: 37-73, 50.6 comp %, 214 pass yards, 1 rushing TD and 2 INT, no passing TDs.

For comp, Watson v teams top 30 in pass defense and total yards: 101-160, 63.1 comp %, 1215 pass yards, 13:4 TD-INT ratio
