How the flying f*** is that ruled a TD? He never secured it at all.

Collingsworth owns PFF. I wonder how much he pays to have those "rankings" onscreen.

Absolute ******** if they allow that to be a TD.

The NFL has turned into an absolute circus ****show. No way that's a TD.

Just like the not-a-catch sterling moore saved

Ok, cool, so it's ok to catch a ball in the endzone, but if it gets knocked out of the receivers hands it's a TD, I get you...

How is that any different from Butler knocking the ball out Beckham's hands last year in the end-zone?

There's zero consistency in which the NFL applies their rules nowadays. It's out of control.

I would agree there's inconsistency, but I think that should be a TD based on everything I've seen about what constitutes a catch nowadays. He caught it, had control, feet down. TD. What happens after that is established is immaterial. I wish the rules were more hardcore, but they're not.

I'd love to see any Packer fan defend that TD call...

I hate seeing Patriots fans argue it like they wouldn't like it if it'd been Gronk catching it. Pretend everything stopped when Nelson caught it and put his feet down. It's a TD just like it's a TD if a RB gets the ball slapped out of his hand after the ball crosses the line.

I'm turning this thing off.

Yeah but is it a fumble in the field of play?

Yeah but is it a fumble in the field of play?
Doesn't matter. The play ends when the TD/possession is established. He doesn't have to continue playing. Again, same as with a RB reaching for a TD vs. reaching for a first down.

ETA: I wish it was more super hardcore with possession rules. Either you hold onto the ball or you don't, either you catch it and keep your feet in and don't ever drop it or not, either you keep the ball all the way to the whistle (regardless of whether your knee is down) or not not, etc. But it's not the rule. So that's a TD. And if the Super Bowl depended on it, every single MF'er on this website would be arguing that it was as well.

hey Collinsworth...take your head out of Discount Double Dork's brown pipe and take a breath of fresh air now and then...jeezus krist what a ****in' sick little fangirl you are

If you think our defense sucks, get a load of this Packers d .

Yeah but is it a fumble in the field of play?

No its not a fumble in the field of play it would have been an incomplete pass. That should not have been a TD.. I mean there is zero consistency when making those calls.
