I don't think that's right at all. I think the fact that the football media (especially certain commentators) loves to cover up the faults of certain guys no matter what they do. When it comes to a guy like Brady, there is always a qualifier...such as "HOW is he doing this at age 39??!!" "There MUST BE SOMETHING going on up there in Foxborough", things of that nature. There are rarely qualifiers when it comes to "media friendly" guys like Rodgers. Compound that with living in a city where the Pats are not necessarily loved (I live in NYC so there ya go) where you may hear those same idiots recite those lines to your face word for word, and it kind of gets on your nerves enough to the point of you hating whomever is the subject.
Is this right? I'm not sure. That's where I'm at with Rodgers/Manning Bros. and others though.
