Peter King managed to stumble across an important stat

Made up for more than .3 of a HC

There's a thread on Sons of Sam Horn called "Why do I continue to read Peter King?"

It is so perfectly worded because I have asked myself that question for so many years. I have read his articles for twenty tears or more and yet he's a terrible writer, has poor football analysis, and his personal anecdotes makes me cringe.

That said, on topic, I think it's hilarious how the other AFC teams have floundered since Belichick and Brady. I think their biggest problem is they build their teams specifically to beat Brady and f up their rosters in the process. We have, I think, 13 division titles in 15 years. Hahaha.

it's even just a tiny bit embarrassing it is not 15 for 15. I mean now we would be humiliated to not win the AFC East.

I heard on the radio on the way home that since 2007 Brady is 49-1 at home against AFC teams.
I remember the loss, which was the last game of the season a couple of years ago when they rested everyone vs Buffalo, but Brady played a little.

If memory serves me right Brady played the first half of that game while Gronkowski sat out. Of course that stat is only for the regular season. If you include the playoffs, the lost twice to Baltimore and once to the Jets.

I felt that way for a solid decade, basically just reading him out of habit. I don't think I've read anything by him--except some of what's linked here--in the last 5 years, and at no point have I ever felt like I was missing anything. The guy just kinda... exists. Absolutely nothing is missed by passing on him.

From today's column:

New England head coaches since 2000: 1
Avg per team: 1.0

MIA/NYJ/BUF head coaches since 2000: 22
Avg per team: 7.3
I don't feel like going to the article, but seems like there's something off in your post?

edit: nevermind

Bill's got a dozen more seasons to go here until he catches Tom Landry

And in those two seasons both came down to a tiebreaker.

No other team has finished the season with a better record than the Patriots in the AFC East since since 2000.

And, Pats kicked off their last game on the schedule both non-playoff seasons before being eliminated.

So, as has been pointed out here before, the last time a Pats team started a game without being eligible for the title was...2000.

I thought I heard on Mike and Mike this am. Since 2009, Pats have never lost a regular season home game where Brady started and finished the game.

I actually went through hypnotherapy to block those painful memories. Now I'm thinking of turning back to the bottle again. Thanks for the relapse.

Well, yeah, that sounds about right.
