Let's take a moment to celebrate Mac Jones and the 10 best things about our Quarterback.

mac jones celebrate.png

1. Mac Jones throws a very catchable pass... to the other team! Mac Jones has thrown more pick sixes at home in his 3 short years here in New England than Tom Brady has thrown in a 20 year career. Clearly our Mac is an overachiever!

2. Mac Jones exhibits a remarkable short passing game... that decreases with every year he's been in the league! In 2021 Mac Jones passed for only 7.3 yards per attempt, but our mad lad outdid himself by shortening his number to 6.8 yards per attempt in 2022, and finally outdid himself in 2023 with a shorter still 6.0 yards per attempt! Who's the "Dink and Dunk" King now? Take that Tom Brady!

3. Mac Jones cleverly lulls the defense... by throwing the ball inaccurately! Clearly his mastery of making the defense think he's not a threat by missing his throws is working! In 2021 Mac Jones accuracy was too high to fool the defense consistently at 67.6% but he's clearly put in the work to bring those accuracy numbers down with 65.2% in 2022 and reaching a mind bending 62.5% in 2023! Defenders clearly can't defend as well if they believe Mac Jones is going to miss his throws!

4. Mac Jones displays a high level of sportsmanship... by not piling up too many yards in the air! Clearly Mac considers the feelings of the poor defensive backs tasked to stop him so he has shown remarkable restraint in compiling fewer and fewer yards per game each season. In 2021 Mac Jones passed for a flagrantly excessive 223.6 yards per game, curbed his excesses with an even lower 214.1 yards per game in 2022, but has truly mastered not throwing for too much by reaching his apex of self control with only 201.6 yards per game in 2023.

5. Mac Jones is an ambassador of the game... by not throwing too many touchdown passes! Clearly throwing too many touchdown passes might alienate defenders or cause them to be chewed out by their coaches. Mac Jones consideration of defenders is a shining example to the QBs who instead callously throw as many touch down passes as possible and might even cost an NFL defender or coordinator their jobs! Not our Mac Jones! In 2021 when he was still learning the value of throwing fewer TDs Mac hit on 22 touchdown passes. But in 2022 he admirably dialed back his TD pass production to 14. In 2025 Mac Jones has become a guru of the game by not only throwing fewer TD passes with a grand total of 5 in 5 games but he has learned to improve the morale of the other team by passing more balls directly to defenders for interceptions! "Goodwill Ambassador" Mac Jones is on pace to increase his INT rate by almost 50%.

6. Mac Jones is relentless... in his pursuit of a lower Quarterback rating! Yes, Mac Jones tirelessly hones his craft to make sure his numbers don't stick out like a sore thumb to overshadow his peers. In 2021, Mac was still green and naive about the ways of the world achieving a 92.5 Quarterback rating. Thanks to the brilliant influence of Matt Patricia and the sage advice of Joe Judge, Mac managed to lower his Quarterback rating to a more middling 84.8 in 2022. But Mac has truly taken to heart the beauty of mediocrity by posting a 74.2 Quarterback rating in 2023! Need more proof? Mac Jones outdid himself against the New Orleans Saint this past week by posting a career low 30.5 QB rating on 12 for 22 passing and 2 INTs. Just to give a reference point if Mac Jones had passed the ball directly into the ground all 22 times, he would have achieved a higher minimum rating of 39.6. But Mac Jones has clearly outgamed the system and managed to go even LOWER!

7. Mac Jones is surgical... in removing the deep passing game from his arsenal. Clearly Mac Jones understands the value of not throwing the ball too deep with any accuracy. Mac Jones has worked so hard at not completing deep passes that in 2023 he has achieved the distinction of reaching 33rd ranked in deep ball accuracy beating out 31 other starting NFL quarterbacks and an unknown backup with his 11.8% deep ball completion rate! Mac Jones has elevated the art of not hitting the deep ball to another level that no other NFL starter would ever dream of reaching!

8. Mac Jones never misses leg day... as he has demonstrated with his explosive rushing yardage! It has taken years for Mac Jones to develop his thighs of steel and his run game but it has finally reached fruition. In 2021, Mac Jones was a scrawny kid only capable of putting up 7.6 rushing yards per game and 129 for the season but 2023 has been Mac's breakout year as he has increased his output by nearly 50% to an astonishing 12.0 rushing yards per game and 60 total yards on the season so far. Projected out to 17 games that would yield an incredible 204 yards for the year. Clearly Mac Jones now provides that X factor on the ground that defenses must account for.

9. Mac Jones is a team leader... in delivering nut shots! Although not a closely tracked stat, Mac Jones clearly establishes his dominance by taking shots at opposing players after the whistle. Since most of his teammates are too concerned with petty things such as unspoken rules, Mac Jones is clearly on the cutting edge of 'sending a message' to the opposition delivered by blows to the groin area or other vulnerable regions of the body!

10. Mac Jones is Prince Charming... as demonstrated by his capture of the heart of Robert Kraft. Clearly Mr. Kraft gets a bulge in his pants to rival his massage parlor adventures at the mere mention of Mac Jones name. Not to mention Mac's addition to the team also meant adding his lovely WAG Sophie Scott pictured below kissing the rascal who captured her heart!

So let's celebrate our QB Mac Jones! He may not give us the best chance at winning, but he does give us something to either cheer for or even boo! Where would we be without him? (Probably not last place in the AFC East).

So we have that going for us...

Oh this is about Mac Jones not Mac10. Was just gonna say don’t invite him to this topic. Lol

In case he’s already here, maybe he can tell us how it feels that Tom Brady is 2-0 when it matters most against Kermit. Says it all….

Don't summon Pork here, please. He's probably busy eating a Mahomes flavored chalupa anyway.

It's like the good old times for Pats fans. We just didn't used to be as vitriolic as today's posters.
