It's easy, and only takes a few moments. The point is, exactly what is it about Pats fans that make them bad?...It's not about loyalty, the lousy fan bases are loyal to a fault...The point is, what exactly makes local media for example, consider Pats fans the worst in the league? Objectively, they appear to belong at or near the top.Enough with Flying Elvis logo already. Jeez. That's the worst offense? I personally like. WTF does that have to do with the way they play or how loyal fans are?
The guy simply can't be aware of how other fan bases conduct themselves.bedard is actually a member of this board and has had conversations with fans here before. Not much right now since he went big with SI from the globe.
We certainly have the worst sportswriters.
I do not recall hearing about any other team's fans coming to the Pats' defense in the fantasy scandals over the last ten years, but if such things happened to another team, even one we hate, I would hope and expect Patriots fans would see and call it like it is. And that alone, puts Patriots fans at the very top. There are three sets of writers/sports personalities in this town.
1. Elitist Contrarians- You know who they are.
2. Sucky Ones who couldn't get the weather right if they were standing outside.

It's funny how BB has managed to make the media following the Pats nothing more than a bunch of turds in a litter box.........

Has this bad Pats coverage been there always?
Reason is I remember in 1976, Steve Grogan commented: the Pats are on page 3 - after the Red Sox and Celtics.
For a long time, Boston had the best sportswriters in the country, and the Globe's Sunday sports section was must read.
I posted something else regarding the Pats coverage being non-existent, but I forgot about Will McDonough. Tremendous football writer, God rest his soul.

Yep.... Here's an SI article on it. What a lineup.
The Bonus: Glory days of The Boston Globe: the greatest sports staff ever
