Doesn't matter.

The Teams that we've fleeced for Deferred Picks previously weren't usually replacing a lost Pick.

They were usually Double Dipping.

2003 ~ Ravens ~ Kyle Boller
2003 ~ Fish ~ Wade Smith
2005 ~ Ravens ~ Adam Terry
2007 ~ Miners ~ Joe Staley
2007 ~ Raiders ~ Mario Henderson

You get the Idea...

Yep, OTG--that's pretty much where I was going with my comment, too.

Hopefully, the next Adam Terry is there for whatever team wishes to jump back into the 2nd/3rd round to move up and grab him. Personally, I just have a difficult time envisioning what we're going to do with those first four selections. I could see 3 of those picks being spent, but I don't know about all 4. Perhaps I'm way off and he's foaming at the mouth with four players in mind as we speak. Who knows?

As DaBruinz pointed out, it could be just as likely that we trade and move up, although it just seems so "Belichickian" to think that he'll come out swinging for two first round picks next spring, or at least two seconds in an attempt to offset the ridiculous penalty from this year. Either way, it will suck to lose that first rounder this year, but as a fan I'm really not all that concerned about it due to the fairly good position we're already in with having our first 40-45 players set.

If it remains unchanged, that is the depth chart of the worst OL in football.
It's really not, have you seen the colts depth chart? Or the Seahawks for that matter

As for trading to next year, he's got to find a team willing to do that. There haven't been as many takers of those sorts of trades since Bill had that nice run back in the 00's..

I still wouldn't be surprised to see one of the higher round picks traded into next year. Of course, as you said, he has to find a trading partner who will be itching for someone this spring and trying to get back into round two or three.

Right now, from what I can see, only Philly and Arizona do not have 2nd round picks. Detroit doesn't pick in the 3rd round until their comp at #95.

It'd be awesome to have a clearer Idea of what's really out there in terms of Trade Possibilities, oui? :D

01 ~ Does the fact that the kind of Trade we're talking about, here ~ trading a 2016 2nd Rounder for a 2017 1st Rounder, for instance ~ only happen occasionally because it's only available occasionally?

02 ~ Or are these Trades available to virtually anyone who's willing to defer a Pick a Year in order to gain Value...but rarely happen because The Market is All Buyers and No Sellers???

Somewhere in between, I'm sure, and different each Year, because different Draft Classes and different Players ~ General Managers, I mean ~ make for different Markets...But I'd love to know!! :D

Based on their play vs DEN, yes. Having every single player injured or go on IR didn't help matters.

Another 1st round pick I was hoping Bill would go after is CB Patrick Robinson.

I'm seeing that he'll sign with Dallas though...

“From what I’m hearing, he’s leaning towards playing,” Whaley said, via Syracuse.com. “The thing about the health was, when you’re playing at a certain level and you know your body — and these guys are highly-trained athletes— for him, he had to work so hard every week to get to that level, and he wasn’t getting to that level, so it was frustrating for him. He was contemplating, ‘Can I play this sport anymore to the level that I’m used to and put the product out there that I want to be proud of?’ Since putting him on IR and going through all of this stuff, I think he’s gotten to the point now where he feels he might want to come back and play.”

Harvin’s contract with the Bills voided last month, so he’s now a free agent. Whaley said he’s interested in having Harvin back, and hoping to know Harvin’s plans soon.

Hahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha

3:00 PM today: Trent Richardson signs with New England.

BB: unofficial agreement with the Ravens? I didn't see that filed with the NFL.

Harbawl: WAAAAAAAAAA!!!!!! CHANGE THE RULES!!!!!! NOT FAIR!!!!!!!!!

This week: competition committee makes unofficial agreements allowable prospectively provided they're signed and filed with the NFL.

Next week: Ravens sign Russ Ventrone.

NFL: Patriots have an unofficial agreement with him that's been signed and filed in the league office. Signing denied.

Nah. That's not a terrible deal given some of the other contracts out there. But Morris has looked done the past couple years.

If Morris can get back to who he was in his first year, that's a good deal, but he's looked like a player whose best days are behind him recently.

Yeah he hasn't been particularly impressive post Shanny.

He's kind of a classic Shanahan system back. They ran through those guys in Denver like it was nothing - some are Terrell Davis or Clinton Portis by reputation, some are Mike Anderson or Ruben Droughns - but the numbers end up the same.

And he had a prime RGIII running with him in that 2012 year, kind of a unique situation.

Yeah, I like Blount over Morris.

Which is why I think Elway was dumb to match that CJ Anderson deal.. Kubiak runs the same system, should have just got Morris on the cheap.
