This whole "Giants Super Bowl Prophecy" thing is getting spooky... and not good for us

So we should piss our pants in fear of the (best case scenario) 8-8 NY Giants?

The Giants only scenario to get in is win out and then the Eagles have to beat the Redskins next week.

Interesting coincidence, nothing more.

The thing I find most interesting about these Coughlin/Manning Giants is their complete lack of any playoff success whatsoever except for the 2 years they went 4-0, winning the Super Bowl.

Take away those 2 years and Eli doesn't have a single playoff victory. He's 0-3. I cannot think of any other situation where that even remotely has come close to happening.

Evidently. Fear everything. Don't get on an airplane, don't go to the mall, don't go to the movies, and above all, if the Patriots play the Giants head for the freaking root cellar, don't watch on TV and cash in your life insurance policies. Mother of God...

I'm rooting for the Giants to make the playoffs so I can watch them get humiliated on the road. And they will be. But, still people here will wee down their legs and soil their skivvies at the thought of having to play them.

And if the Eagles somehow pull the upset and beat the Cardinals tonight, the Giants season will essentially be over.

If the Eagles win tonight, then the only way the Giants would win the NFC East would be to finish 2-0 but also have the Redskins/Eagles game end in a tie.

Those last two times they had a much better record and a much better defense. And they might even miss the playoffs this time around. So, no, no prophecy.

If it means the Pats are in the SB again and have to play the Giants then bring 'em on. I would love another shot at shutting up those arrogant pricks and their equally arrogant and prickish fans.

Don't you dare talk that way around here. You must cower and get under the covers and close your eyes!

Huh. Yeah an 8-8 Giants team at best with no defense?

This board will go in full insane asylum mode if its Pats Giants in SB 50

I'm only half-serious when I say we should be afraid. I have no doubt that our team can go toe-to-toe with the Giants. But I find it to be a peculiar -- if not slightly amusing -- coincidence that the G-men beat undefeated teams by the exact same score (38-35), and happen to win the Super Bowl in each of those years!

I'm sure Giants fans are thinking the same thing

If they win SB 50, I'll eat my hat... Just not my "NE Pats SB 50 Champs" hat.

Correct, RW, and I'll be AWOL for those 2 weeks (which people will undoubtedly love) because between the urine and the loose feces running down legs here, I'll be out.

I would consider doing the same.

Giants fans ought to be doing the math about what it takes to make the playoffs as a sub 500 team.

I would love another SB with the Gnats. ...Of course I said that the 2nd time too. But seriously, nobody is that lucky....

Right?

It's evidently the American way these days.

In case it isn't clear -- there's no way the Giants can be a wild-card team this year, because two NFC teams that are currently 9-5 or better will not win their divisions. It's division title or bust.
