Basically it was wrong, but close so it's ok. We don't expect our referees to be great only ok

i'm going to give cheffers a pass on that one. it was the wrong call but he made a mistake.

That call was ridiculous, players are always trying to make a play, in a snap there are hands everywhere and players moving all around the place, there was no push in the facemask whatsoever in that play. No disrespect but these rules are turning football into a gay thing.

That call was ridiculous, players are always trying to make a play, in a snap there are hands everywhere and players moving all around the place, there was no push in the facemask whatsoever in that play. No disrespect but these rules are turning football into a gay thing.

The Lions did not get jobbed, they're idiots that brought brought the loss onto themselves. The facemask penalty is irrelevant, considering the Packers still had to make a damn 61 yard TD to win the game. The Lions didn't have Calvin Johnson in the end zone, they were guarding the damn sidelines, they let the Packers in front of them in the end zone, they only let loose a three man pass rush and none of those pass rushers were named Ziggy Ansah. Realize the Lions ****ing suck and move on.

I can see how in real time you would make that call.. in slow motion that has to hurt tho as a lions player to know you lost the game over that

Silly thing to lose a game over, but can't really jump all over the refs making that call in real time.. granted they should be VERY conservative on calling defensive penalties on a hail Mary desperation throw, but that's a tough one

Too many commercials, and just resentment for him being #1 on every single QB ranking list. I also can't stand the fact that he is making millions off of the "champion belt" gesture claiming it as "his move" when that has been around before he was even born in professional wrestling, boxing, etc but for some reason people believe it's his unique thing

I dunno, I just don't like him and those are my reasons. . I don't hate him, I just don't like him and actively root for the Lions and Vikings in that division

I never really had an opinion of him either way, but something he did on the TD he ran in before the hail mary got my attention. After he scored he ran off the field and just kept running by players who wanted to high five him. It seemed like it was all about him at the time.

This is why everything should be reviewable. I don't blame the refs for making the wrong call. At full speed, at first glance, it sure looked like a face mask to me.

It's easy to criticize the call after seeing it in slo-mo HD from 3 different angles. And I'm in the camp that thinks it is the wrong call, hence the reasoning behind making everything reviewable.

It wasn't much but that's a face mask, and on review it was so slight that the player won't be fined. Do you how what else was a face mask, Von millers more obvious face mask on Brady last weekend. There wasn't a foul called in the game but he got penalized 8k. It's kind of hilarious that golden boy Rodgers gets the preferential treatment but not Brady. There was another play in our game when the defender not only had a hand on Brady's helmet but his whole body was wrapped around his head and nothing was called either. Makes you think if some of these refs have an agenda governing their calls.
