For some reason, the Kraft defenders seem to think that the NFL can grant itself sovereign immunity.
I've just learned that people think Roger Goodell can take the team away from Kraft.

Fans from other teams really must be getting a kick out of this. Fans turning on each other, etc. I refuse to give air pressure in a football that much attention.
We aren't representing the Jaguars, Bucs, or Browns here. Our team won the SB, went to the AFCCG four years in a row, and have a decent shot at returning again. The end of the world is not upon us. Yes, it sucks, but it's time to put things in perspective and move forward. No one died FFS.

You have not adjusted your argument to having learned that Kraft could have appealed.
I have learned that someone claimed it is a possibility, haven't seen proof or example of anyone else doing it though.
Doesn't change anything though, whether he could have technically gone through a dog and pony show of an "appeal" to someone that he has direct personal communication with or not. The bottom line is, whatever the commissioner wants to happen here, will happen. He is granted that power by all 32 owners, and it is stupid to try to act outside of that association. But hey, let's forget that these are businesses and pretend that you have some inherent right to whatever you want.

It's not air pressure in a football any more. It's the only voice that we have that matters accepting a verdict of guilty without appealing. Hell, I think even Charles Manson appealed.
Its a disgrace that this franchise is being made a laughingstock, and that is to people who have never logged in to this board.
And when we won the SB we were accused of cheating to do it.
Our owner saw the evidence that we all see as weak at best and more likely non-existent, and said "We will accept that we are guilty and say no thank you to our right to appeal and prove we are not"
THAT is what this is about.
Had Kraft stood behind his team and franchise, QB and fans, and presented the evidence of innocence that was not included in the verdict, we would stand behind him. Instead he told us that somehow requesting a second look did damage to 32 teams more severe than being judged a cheater did to the Patriots. I don't understand that and don't know how anyone could.
The Chargers have been cited as proof, just to name one recent example. And the Chargers got the fine rescinded by doing so.
The Cowboys and Redskins also appealed their penalties.
Care to try again?
They appealed a 20k fine.....LOL.
Yes. Do you have some point other than trying to pretend that an appeal is not an appeal because it's for less money? Your posts have been just as ridiculous and empty of facts as those of emoney.
Keep living in Fantasyland. Kraft had nowhere to go. And, no support in the league.
This is the football equivalent of a pitcher putting a little resin on his cap. Remember Kenny Rogers - Det a few years ago in the playoffs? Plain as day. Did the other teams complain? Nope. Their pitchers were doing the same thing. That's why the refs didn't give a shiat. Let em do what they want. When the Colts got the league involved, that's when things went haywire.
but I'd be nothing more than a fraud if I didn't stand by them now."
I'm not living in fantasy land. I'm talking facts. They could have appealed. Kraft chose not to. You're the one trying to read the tea leaves beyond that.
You might as well join the others with the brown noses and clown shoes.
You sound like a sales person for the Lifetime channel.I had the cable guy come today, about an hour ago. I noticed that he was a nice guy until he saw some of my Pats related stuff in the home office. Things quickly became tense and his demeanor instantly changed.
"You're a fan of the deflators," he asked. "Yes," I said. "I've always been. I went to school at BU, and I've loved the team since their WC run back in '85. It sucks to see what's going on, but I'd be nothing more than a fraud if I didn't stand by them now."
He agreed, said he admired my courage to be a Pats fan in Steeler nation, and mentioned the following as he was walking out several minutes later: "I don't think Brady ordered those guys to do that. He's always been a great QB. Go Steelers. See you in September."
And that was that. Life can go on. It will suck, but it often does anyway
Why do you think Kraft chose not to appeal? Not what you think. Why do you believe he didn't.
Its an appeal. The Patriots put on their defense of the charges in the Wells report. How the hell does Kraft win the appeal? Goodell was in on the decision to punish the Pats and Brady. He gets to be the arbitrator of the appeal. And, you think he's going to consider scientific evidence? Also, part of this is that we didn't let them interview McNally again. Goodell specifically mentioned non-cooperation was part of the reason for the punishment.
I'm not playing "Hey, let's keep moving the goalposts until patsfaninpa finally gets one right!" with you. Kraft stated what he claimed were his reasons. If you think he's lying, feel free to make that claim.
You keep banging that drum. I'll put the ear-plugs in.
Its an appeal. The Patriots put on their defense of the charges in the Wells report.
Goodell is not required to accept Wells opinion. He has stated re Brady that the point of the appeal process is to introduce new evidence, include stuff left out by the Wells report, give any additional information that will give more clarity and get it right. He absolutely implied that cooperation now that adds to the available evidence will be accepted.
You seem to be arguing that Goodells approach is that he caught the Patriots and if they come in with incontrovertible evidence of innocence he will ignore it because its good for him for them to be guilty and he will lie to do it. That is silly.
Presenting McNally and showing why there was a disagreement about whether it was appropriate to bring him back to Wells would absolutely eliminate the lack of cooperation.
