Why would you find that hard to believe?

Well apparently Seattle wanted him bad and we got em. On twitter they're saying they packed up shop after the easley selection. Explains their trade
Guys shut up about the wrs. As if there weren't a round 2 and 3 tomorrow. And we could get b Coleman in the 4th. And he's no surf gentlemen
Why are you so convinced he can't come back strong? He already had a good year after the 2011 ACL. He rehabbed well enough from the second ACL to impress in his workouts. The guy is a workout warrior; the knees might be a complete non-factor.It's the wrong DT. Now we're left to pray for the near-miracle of good health with a player who's already popped both ACLs.
Eh, they could have had that trade all but worked out before the Easley pick too. But if they wanted him, that makes me like it a bit more. They've shown that they know what they're doing in the war room.Well apparently Seattle wanted him bad and we got em. On twitter they're saying they packed up shop after the easley selection. "The most impressive skill Easley possess is how quickly he explodes off the line of scrimmage. While Easley is not particularly big for his position, he has great strength and versatility, and he is skilled at shedding blocks.
That explosiveness allows Easley to fire his gaps quickly and easily split double-teams. Even the strongest offensive lines in the SEC had trouble keeping up with Easley’s first three steps, and he caused constant havoc in opposing backfields."
i would agree if this was any other round but the first. BB almost always hits with his first round pickTypical belichick-ean type of pick.....and another complete WHIFF!......They really shouldnt let BB do the drafting at all anymore. All analysts are saying "wow this guy has had double ACL surgeries....tremendous reach ....would have been there in 3rd or even 4th!....great job Bill!
UOTE="condon84, post: 3823077, member: 15168"]Projected in the 3rd and 4th round. Awesome.
So at DT we had a choice between:
High ceiling talent with glass knees (Easley)
or
High ceiling talent that's raw/inconsistent (Hageman)
I still would have preferred the most pro ready WR in the draft. I agree with Deus overall on our draft pick. It's an unneeded risk to take in round 1 of one of the deepest drafts in the last 10 years.
FWIW, I'm sure that with the level of investment a 1st rounder commands the team did their homework on Easley. It's also worth noting that BB has taken 4 defensive linemen in the 1st round, three out of the four have gone to pro bowls, one is a hall of famer, one is a team hall of famer, and the last is arguably the best young player on the defense. He doesn't miss on first round DL.
I watch every Gator game. He was playing at a top 10 level before the other ACL tear. He also took some good shots on that knee in game action but it held up because of the brace, which he'll now be wearing on the other knee. The Florida defense completely fell apart without him. He was our heart and soul. Why are you so convinced he can't come back strong? He already had a good year after the 2011 ACL. He rehabbed well enough from the second ACL to impress in his workouts. I hear you, but it's a gamble on a genuine impact player -- IMO one of only 2 penetrating DLs of that description in this draft.
Lol so basically your mind is already made upBleacher Report. Nuff said.
I enjoyed reading mayoclinic's evaluations. What did he say about Easley?Me too.
Sometimes rumors that they love a player mean they love a player. The Pats were consistently said to be interested in Easley.
I'm sorry that Mayoclinic took off, he must be thrilled.
That's a funny report considering it reads like a 2nd round pick. Despite the listed projection. Would be interested who actually wrote it. He isn't a 3-4 pick clearly in the actual draft and that's literally only time I've seen that written about him.
