I turned off the game at half-time.

I did the same thing.... Atlantic Time it was 11pm. Work at 8am. And I posted that the last time I did this was at Denver when BB gave away a safety... Foreshadowed my own stupidity I guess.... Weird that a hardcore fan like me turned it off. I deserve missing the comeback.

All I remember is that it was 24-0, and I decided that making a sandwich would be more enjoyable. Damn it...

What's even worse is coming here and ADMITTING what you did. You, son, need remedial help.

I'm certainly not going to act as if I was not thinking that we were going to lose, but I kept thinking "if we can just get a TD and put 7 on the board anything can happen."

Actually, I felt the same way during last year's 24-3 deficit to SF also.

This team certainly has many weaknesses, but they also have the ability to score pts pretty quickly too. Just look at the streak that was broken in the loss to BAL last year where we had gone an insane amount of games either winning or losing within one score. Rarely does this team ever really get blown out.

I thought prior to the game that we'd probably lose, and that it'd likely be within 7-10 pts, but I certainly wasn't going to shut off the game under any circumstances.

Patriots/Broncos was so awesome that, I kid you not, my TV could not handle how epic it was and blacked out permanently near the end of the game.

(seriously though... I need another TV )

How is that even possible after last season on Sunday Night against the niners....some fans amaze me....

All I can say is, the same thing I thought when I heard of fans turning their tv's off after 28 point deficit against the niners....have you forgotten who plays under center for the Patriots!?!?!?

I turned off a game back in 2001 against the Chargers, I think it was. I learned my lesson and I'll never turn off another game.

I was late to the game and as I was walking in people were leaving still in the first quarter

I always have a small gut feeling they can come back in most situations, so I'll never turn off the TV. (Even as disgusted as I was @ one point)

Even though several times I've been wrong, I will always watch until the last second for epicness like tonight.

I wish others were like that... especially ones at the game who left at half time! Unbelievable!

I really wanted to leave at halftime. The way they looked I had already packed it in in my mind, I can't damn anyone for feeling the same way, it must have looked worse at home on the tube.I was thinking "at least that fat green slob took it in the azz earlier today" to soothe my disappointment. The 2nd half was a total dreamstate experience. We all kept turning to each other in the stands saying "can you believe this is happening?"...the Broncos fans were stunned.

Where is this (where the picture was taken)? I want to go there!! Hot chicks with short shorts and blowhorns....YEAH!

Sorry you are not a true patriots fan if you just threw in the towel like that. Shame on you and i'm being serious.

You should know by now not to give up on them but yet you still did, no sympathy.

Wait a tic....werent you the one that was going to bed and not watching the pats carolina game....because they had to work in the morning? Thats not excusable either! It was one of you english blokes (and I mean that in nicest way)... and I told you to grab a pint and hang in there!....worst case scenario. ...at least GRAB THE PINT MAN!... seriously tho...lets not be hypercrites here...

And just checked the score 1 minute ago. Oh god, what the heck did I do.

Unacceptable! :nono::nooo:
You need to be locked up in a cell on future gamedays.... for the Patriots sake!

NEVER! Just turn it off. Leave it on but go fry up a burger with a slice of provolone on it and also fry up some thinly sliced sweet bell peppers. During the prep and frying time (that's the time taking your mind off the game), pop back in front of the TV just long enough to see the 5 to 8 seconds of each play (or most plays). By late third quarter, you will see whether the slaughter continues or you are seeing the big comeback. Either way you now watch the rest of the game (or if you absolutely must, watch something else) eating a most excellent pepper burger. That's a win!

I turned the game ON at halftime.

My daughter had a 6PM orchestra concert in college, 2.5 hours away. Concert, world's fastest dinner , then I was bookin' down the road.

By 8:30 was scanning for a crackly radio station carrying the game. Finally one faded in, but it was already 14-0.

Undaunted, I sped up and made it home just in time for the 2nd half kickoff.

Glorious.

I get up early every morning. I always shut off the late games at half time.

The fun thing about last nights game, is that this morning was like Christmas morning for me when I opened up my browser. What a hoot !

Spot on. I think while most of us stayed watching because we thought they maybe possibly could come back — such is the golden era of BB and TFB — we also knew it wasn't extremely likely. What I was mostly hoping for in the second half was good football: I needed to see the Pats show they could play with this team (for future reference). In that way, yeah, the feeling was very much like SF last year.

So obviously you'll skip the first half of every game the rest of the season. Right?

Never doubt PYPER. He called the comeback in the chat.

Shhhhhh...shhutuppppppp

But yes, he was the only one who believed.

I walked away during the second quarter and followed the game on here. Started watching again at the beginning of the second half. For some reason i can read about poor play but have a hard time watching it. But honestly i never thought they would come back like that after all those fumbles and falling behind 24 zip to a team like denver.

I agree, I too felt awful @ the start of the second q and changed the channels thinking they will can never come back, especially against Peyton and their now strong D. But then, after the half, i decided I need to watch and show my support even if they get blown out 100-0 and viola.

and btw, I insisted that my girlfriend never even come into the LR to watch the TV in the second half because she watched the 1Q with me and I am convinced that she watching it with me was the reason for our three turnovers.
