Incognito suspended indefinitely by Dolphins

There's a young man who turns 24 years old today, who is one of the toughest SOB's to ever play his position. Tough as nails and would never let anyone get the best of him. He took no guff from anyone.

He NEVER would have pulled a "Jonathan Martin". No way.

Actually your description may better fit someone who would have turn 37 today......

Because, it could be considered discrimination if he was targeted for being gay.

Sorry, mistook your post for something of substance.

Pat Tillman would have turned 37 today. RIP.

Your first sentence was unprovoked and unnecessary. If you have a problem and want to pursue a personal cat fight, take it to PM.

RIP, Pat Tillman. You made the ultimate sacrifice.

Tannehill: "If you would have asked Jon Martin a week ago, who his best friend was outside of football, he would have said Richie Incognito"

If true, that makes three teammates that have now stuck up for Incognito plus Ricky Williams.

It was a response to your post, and I standby it.
After your performance in this thread your comment is laughable.

Pat Tillman is a true hero, but if you took the time to research him for even a few minutes, you'd learn he was one of those damn wimpy liberals and likely would have taken Martin's side on this issue.

Lets not go there, huh?

All that being said, especially with the Ricky Williams comments and other players, I'm starting to change my mind about this. It looks like Martin, or at least his parents, is trying to pull a fast one on the NFL. Incognito is undoubtedly an *******, but it's looking worse and worse for Martin.

All of what I said previously in this thread only applies if Martin has a real case here, but if he doesn't, disregard it.

Who knows if this is the case, but it is not uncommon for someone to make an unpopular decision and then say 'he made me do it'.
Martin quit on his team. Everyone is assuming he did so because he couldn't stomach the treatment of Incognito. There is the possibility that he quit, didn't want to be labelled a quitter and looked around for someone to blame, and the Village Idiot happened to be standing in the corner.

It definitely seems as if there may be something fishy going on here. The voicemail is saved from April. It's almost as if Martin was looking for a way to exit the NFL while earning a fat paycheck and found the perfect scapegoat in Incognito. As of right now, Martin is preparing a detailed report of the abuses he states he suffered at Incognito's hands to turn over to NFL. I'm very interested to see that report.

Jeff Darlington ? @JeffDarlington
Tannehill has strong words about the relationship between Incognito and Martin, noting Incognito was always first to be at Martin's side.

James Christensen @NEPatriotsDraft
A lot of media folk chose sides early on in the Martin / Incognito fight and are looking biased—and a bit silly—as new info comes out.

It seems Ryan Tannehill feels adding context to the situation is important.

Then why did the Dolphins do a 180 on Sunday and suspend Incognito indefinitely after first saying there was no problem for 5 days? Why would they do that without context?

They were more than likely in damage control mode until this entire thing gets fleshed out. Some more tweets coming in...

What Ryan Tannehill said about Martin/Incognito jibes with what I've heard. I was told Incognito stuck up for Martin during camp fights.

Sounds like an incredible scene in a Dolphins locker room that's rallying to Incognito's back. Follow @JeffDarlington for details.

Said several times that more Dolphins players are upset with Martin than Incognito, sounds like that's being fleshed out now.

Damage control by publicly suspending him one hour after they viewed evidence?

That's more like publicly hanging him out to dry to cover their asses.

Maybe. Or maybe they just knew the immediate backlash was going to be bad because the general public, by and large, has a huge problem with waiting for the full story to unfold before they come after someone with torches and pitchforks, and decided to suspend him to control that. If the seven month old voicemail, it's tone, and it's context were really that bad, the real question is why they haven't cut Incognito yet...
