Week 8 NFL Games

Why are you here? I have to assume the Titans have some sort of 'patsfans' equivalent.

You kind of suck, honestly.

A Jets or Phins fan wouldn't dream of defending Brady. But this poster who must of been trolled time and time again by the colts... can't stop sucking Mannings shlong...

Looked like the redskins would give the broncos a game for a solid three quarters, oh well

They do. I'm a fan of the NFL. I post on several forums. I've mainly lurked here a while. I responded to an absolute whinefest of a post. But obviously since I don't say Manning is terrible/choker/stat padder...I'm suddenly a troll and suck? Please tell me how I've been out of line. Or am I truly wasting my time on a board I thought was one of the better ones actually?
Troll harder.

Terrelle Pryor set the record for longest TD run by a QB. 93 Yards. And it was against the Steelers too so it's that much more awesome.

Notes from Denver:

--Knowshon had another very, VERY good game...in my opinion, he's our first half MVP, not Manning

--Our defense looked way better today and while I won't totally buy into yet since it was against the Redskins, I am feeling pretty confident the defense you'll see in the 2nd half is a much better version than the one teams saw in the first half. Von's presence was felt today and for the first time all season we got consistent pressure on RG3 and Cousins

--Manning looked a little streaky, and while he did throw 3 INTs (yikes), the last one DT caught and let the corner take it out of his hands. I don't think he looks like the best QB ever (despite the record yardage and passing TD stats), but he certainly is playing well enough to help Denver win it all if they get there and he plays like a QB who doesn't always choke in the playoffs

--The bye couldn't be coming at a better time. Like most teams, we're really crushed by injuries right now to our D and O-Line. Getting healthy in time for a tough 4 game stretch is important; AT SD, vs KC, AT NE, AT KC. If they can go 3-1 in that stretch (which I think they will), they should be able to grab the 1 seed. If not...we'll see how the season plays out.

Crummy Sunday night matchup. But, it's better than beezeboll.

Fixed for accuracy.

Touche.

I am not saying that year. That may be the year that Brady broke the record, but they were still balanced on offense.

I am talking more about years like 2009 where the Ravens shutdown Brady in the playoffs and 2010 where the Pats offense sputtered against the Jets. They may not have been record breaking years, but the entire offense was on Brady and the passing game those years.

Thanks for clarifying. I hear you loud and clear, Rob.

Lol someone is about to blow a blood vessel. Relax big guy.

Not sure how you have some type of super-power to know how I'm supposedly feeling right now. But you're wrong. I couldn't be any more calm as I wrote that

Knowshon is showing some serious running skills, but I still hold hes a speed back with tempo and has no sight. He finds his way in the hole, but doesnt see it or the other defenders around him. He's a good runner. Hes MVP in that game though.

Thanks for run down. Great insight. Your team is playing well.
Yeah, I think a OLman said last week after week 6-8 100% of guys are hurt, lol

I still don't get the second the Broncos started to get their offense rolling,t the Redskins decided to act like they were down by four TDs and throwing the ball down field on every play. Shanahan coached scared most of the second half.

Rob, that's EXACTLY what the F I said a few pages back. It was so strange. The running game got you the lead and you just abandon it the moment the Broncos tie the game? They weren't even leading yet when Shanahan decided to start having RGIII chuck it down the field. Terrible.

It baffles me how you could come on a Pats forum and post this, as if anyone would actually care. Lmao. Maybe I can give you a pass if you live in Denver. I heard the weed there gets you higher than Manning's forehead.

No comment on the pot in Denver

I live in MA so I'm surrounded by Pats fans...just getting ready for our match up in a few weeks.

Knowshon looks excellent. As far as Manning goes, though, he's doing everything that Brady's getting railed on for over here. The difference is that he's doing it with a better surrounding cast, so he's getting away with it. I've never seen him so willing to lock on to his receiver, both pre and post-snap, as he's being right now. He's making terrible reads, he's making poor passes and he's holding the ball too damn long.

Having that trio of receivers, and having Moreno playing as well as he is, is really saving Manning from a lot of scrutiny, IMO. If I were a Broncos fan, I'd be very concerned about what I was seeing out of my QB.

The defense choked the life out of the Redskins in the second half. I think the Redskins helped with that, but it was still a very strong performance.

So you're saying if they get to the playoffs and he plays like somebody else entirely they have a good shot at the title?

Man, I'm loving Nelson. I think Dobson can emerge to be something similar to that guy (I'm hoping).

Manning is declining, obviously. But, you'll never hear anyone talk about that as long as he continues to put up mickey mouse stats against terrible defenses.

His throws are lacking in zip and velocity and it's not even November yet. His arm strength is going to be non-existent by December when the weather becomes an issue. They've played 5 of their 8 games at home. The harder part of their schedule is coming in the second half of the season.

what a throw and catch by rodgers and nelson

Well put and very true. The stats are incredibly misleading if people are taking out of it that PM is having the best year ever (and I know no one on here thinks that  ). Far from it, and it's why I said Knowshon is our real first half MVP. The difference between Peyton and Brady this season is that the Broncos have more people standing absolutely wide open on any given play. It's easy to put up good stats when on any given play you'll have someone like Welker all the way down to 4th string TEs standing wide open 10 yards down the field. I'm concerned about Manning a bit, but I think our D will start to show more improvement, and the pure # of weapons on offense leaves us still in good shape, IMO.

I think Dobson will be a excellent receiver for down the field throws as a patriot. He is starting to break through IMO.
