Rob, I'm not completely disagreeing with the point you're trying to make, but I don't believe the Pats' failed to go 19-0 because of a lack of running in the playoffs. In fact, Maroney killed the Jags AND played well against SD in the playoffs that year. They just unfortunately ran into a hot, aggressive NY team that always believed they could win, got hot at the right time, and had a D-Line strong enough to overpower our O-Line the whole game. Even after all that, the Pats were still up 14-10 and then the miracle catch happened.

I am not saying that year. That may be the year that Brady broke the record, but they were still balanced on offense.

I am talking more about years like 2009 where the Ravens shutdown Brady in the playoffs and 2010 where the Pats offense sputtered against the Jets. They may not have been record breaking years, but the entire offense was on Brady and the passing game those years.

The stat padding goes hand in hand with what I am saying though.

Everyone in the league always complained when the Pats "ran up the score". I didn't see many people outside of New England say it was a whiney and awful argument.

The Broncos are winning 38-21 with 4 minutes left. Did you just see what happened? Manning tries padding stats by going for a long ball downfield for a touchdown. Luckily he got exactly what he deserved: his 3rd INT of the game.

Don't even TRY to tell me that Manning doesn't care about stats. He's a selfish pr!ck who is CLEARLY trying to pad his stats at all costs.

Personally, I didn't particularly care for the Pats running up the score although I believed that if a team didn't want to be embarrassed by it, they should stop the Pats from scoring. I feel the same way about Manning. I don't care for him stat padding, but if teams don't want him to pad his stats vs. them then they should stop him.

I still don't get the second the Broncos started to get their offense rolling,t the Redskins decided to act like they were down by four TDs and throwing the ball down field on every play. Shanahan coached scared most of the second half.
