That's what I keep having a hard time with myself. That, and the fact that I don't feel that Belichick would normally have wasted time like this over one player.
You'd also have to assume that Belichick and Co. were well aware of the fact that Tebow sucks at throwing the ball.
I'm by no means claiming that he'll be kept. I'm just saying that I wonder if it's as clear cut as many here think.
The whole situation has been weird, so it's not surprising that it continues to be controversial up until the final minute.
Every team that tebow has been on has been better the year after he left so far(lets see how the jets do)
So next year im predicting superbowl.
If they cut a promising young guy to keep turd-bow then the players should mutiny.
Question: What do you think about the execution of the Tim Tebow offense? But "offense" suggests positive, not negative, yards. Can we really call THAT offense?
Certainly the other side of the coin, and something that I've thought about too. This specific "package" that we here about likely doesn't involve the height of complexity.
Either way, I think it's pretty safe to say that he'll be here through 8/31. Odds are that he's gone after that, but I'll still be somewhat skeptical until it happens just b/c the whole process has been so darn weird from the beginning.
It was the fact that they put in a new offense for the guy. Not something you do for a 'camp arm'.

SF I honestly think he is simply running the scout team offensive sets that we had in place for years with Edelman running them for defensive preparation purposes. I don't think we installed anything for Tebow.
Then the dozens of people who bought a Tebow jersey can frame it or put it in a box.
As dumb as it sounds, the whole PR aspect of your sentence may be part of why I'm somewhat skeptical that he'll be cut.
It's something that defies all common sense, but then again--so did the initial decision of bringing him here.
sample size: 1 team that signed Peyton Manning.

I they thought they would cut him why would they print and sell his jerseys even before the season started. Granted its just jerseys and business call but doesnt seem right unless they have plans to keep him.
Why waste a roster spot?
We agree.
Maybe he could be official greeter.
