NFL.com Rankings: Pats at #9

Patriots were ranked #32 after week two in 2001.
That worked out OK.

I think it would start with a whole lot of people disputing your characterization of Dalton as a franchise QB.

I'm also not sure where you're getting that Green is one of the top five offensive players in the NFL. The only WR who's even in that discussion for top-5 is Megatron.

It sounded better than "not terrible/above average"

Locks: Brady, Rodgers, AP
Next level: Green, Calvin, Peyton, Gronk

You rank AJ Green on the same level as Megatron, and alongside Peyton? And ahead of guys like Matt Ryan, Brees, Russell Wilson, and Big Ben? Yikes; as much as I like Green--in my mind, it's either he or Fitzgerald as the #2 WR in the NFL--I can't even remotely get on board with that.

If Green is that good, and Dalton is a franchise QB, then the Bengals offense should be a whole lot better than it is.

Ben hasn't been good in years.
Wilson isn't anywhere close to top 25, let alone top 5.
Brees and Ryan are both in the fringe top 10 area.

Did you not watch Green last year at all? Sure, Calvin gets much more ESPN hype, but Green is arguably better than him. Green is a MUCH better route runner and has much better quickness and agility and a better ability to get open. Calvin is just an athletic freak who can outjump or outmuscle people. Green has almost the same hands and leaping ability but is a better polished wide receiver.

I mean come on. Russell Wilson??? Ben??? You're winning the argument for me.
