The 2013 season: The Jets suck (as usual)

Accoring to JI...we cant make fun of them anymore because one of our players killed someone...going to miss making fun of the jets...

yeah...heh...I knew as soon as I saw who started the thread that it would be a real menstrual meltdown. EM31 is ten times worse than a Ray Ray19 when it comes to blubbering little poindexter posts.

i just don't understand how a fan base can mostly think like that...it's amazing

The debate about whether it's genetics or environment still rages on. One thing scientists seem to agree on, though, is that being a Jets fan should be classified as a mental disorder.

I think there's little question they are genetically predisposed.

Jets Fan Didn’t Mean Anything Bad By Those Death Threats He Sent Mark Sanchez

After Mark Sanchez turned the ball over five times in the Monday night loss to the Titans, a Jets fan directed a few somewhat hostile tweets at the quarterback. Nothing too serious, just stuff like “KILL YO SELF TONIGHT! OR IMMA DO IT FOR YOU WEDNESDAY AT PRACTICE,” and “DON’T COME TO PRACTICE WEDNESDAY I PROMISE YOU BULLETS EVERYWHERE. You know, nothing the authorities might be concerned about in the wake of Sandy Hook.

Not to worry, though, because the New York Daily News caught up with the guy, Bravee Grandcu, who told the paper that he didn’t actually mean those potentially criminal threats he made. He was just upset because he’s a serious Jets fan who also just happened to lose a $700 bet on the game.

“I don’t own a gun,” said Grandcu, 25. “I was never going to shoot or kill anyone.”

“I was just pissed off,” Grandcu told the Daily News. “I lost $700 on the game. That’s real money.”

A Gang Green supporter for 20 years, the New York City resident lumped himself in with legions of Jets fans frustrated by Sanchez’s lackluster play.

“I feel like Sanchez is doing all of these turnovers on purpose,” Grandcu said.

Assuming Mark Sanchez is good enough to purposely put the ball in a defensive back’s hands? This man is insane. Probably a good thing he doesn’t own a gun now because for some reason I don’t see this dude clearing any background checks in the foreseeable future.

Look! Up in the sky! It's a bird! It's a plane! It's ...BUFFUMBLE!

The Jets suck but the fan base at jetsinsider.com sucks even more if that's possible. Nothing can be discussed about the Pats that doesn't include over the top sinister conspiracy theories about spygate, gay Brady slurs and Kraft, Belichick and half the team knowing about and concealing knowledge about Hernandez's involvement in the murdrer(s). These aholes think they really have us now and they finally have something that gives them some spring in their step. I suppose if I had to root for the Jets I'd have to deflect to something else as well. Take a look at the last 10 pages or so. It's sad.

I'm tempted to go there and post that the dudes AH killed were Jets fans...and therefore qualifies as justifiable homicide.

Seems like an effective defense strategy.

I clicked on that thread and saw that the mods closed it.

Besides, Jet Insider is a lame, watered-down message board. The real Jet message board is The Gang Green TheGangGreen.com - the most complete source of New York Jets information and their AHern thread's titled "Aaron Hernandez, don't drop the soap" in the "National Football League" section -- that's where you'd want to sign up and post your killing Jet fans is justifiable homicide comment.

Oh come on! If I wanted gangrene I'd just break my leg and let it fester. Much less painful.

Looks like Sexy Rexy may be out the door this season. John Idzik says he will have a big role in selecting who will play QB for the Jets this season. If the GM is playing a big role in who is going to play QB, things aren't looking good for the head coach:

John Idzik said that he will have a substantial part in deciding whether Geno Smith or Mark Sanchez will be the starter. But he then went on to say that it will be an inclusive effort.

"I've got a pretty big role in that," Idzik said. "I think we're going to discuss that much like we do anything: it's going to be a collective opinion. We're going to hash it out. And it's not limited to quarterbacks. I know that's front stage and center. It's every position."

That would be improper context for his joke now, wouldn't it?

Whut? Wait. You mean PETA doesn't stand for People Eating Tasty Animals?

All I know is that the "E" in PETA stands for "ethical," and what that Green Beans fan did to his poor pooch was anything but.

I won't click on that link, by the way. Can't deal with animal cruelty.
