Devin McCourty was the 29th overall rated player in the 2010 NFL Draft Class.Lets not forget, we wasted a 1st rounder on a special teamer in 2010.
Nate Solder was rated the 23rd overall rated player in the 2011 NFL Draft Class.#17 last year on a guy who couldn't play as a rookie because he wasn't strong enough to play
Rob Gronkowski was rated the 47th overall player in the 2010 NFL Draft Class.wasted a 2nd in 2010 on a guy who couldn't play because he missed his Sr year with back surgery
Aaron Hernandez was the 84th overall rated player in the 2010 NFL Draft Class.4th on a TE who is too small and a pot head.
Why don't you quit while your ahead because you don't know what the hell you are talking about.Do we really want to put any stock in the kneejerk reactions of posters on this board to draft choices?
I actually just got back from a funeral (I know a funeral on Friday night) and saw that the Jets took Hill.
My working theory is that the Jets figure that when Sanchez throws off the mark Hill would have run the wrong route and end up in the same place as the ball.
Nothing in that piece suggests a need for the Patriots to take him when they did.
It's the draft. Everyone is often wrong, including every expert, so-called expert, and admitted non-expert. That's a given, and that's indisputable. So, if that's your point, why bother making it?

how many teams are trying to find the next Gronk???? lol
Seriously, read the post, without the bias of believing you can guess what is between the lines, because there is nothing between the lines.
I am sure you remember that this board was viral with the belief that McCourty was drafted because of his s/ts play, not his ability as a corner.
That Ridley was ONLY a short yardage back.
That Solder was a pick for 2012 that couldn't contribute in 2011.
Its not about ultimately being right or wrong, its that the knee jerk reaction of what kind of a player we just drafted is often way off the mark.
Positive or negative, opinions posted here about draft choices in the first 24 hours are often uninformed.
We can say the same thing about the overly positive comments about yesterdays picks.
Take both with a grain of salt.
Whichever direction it goes in, comments approaching that was the greatest pick ever or the worst pick ever, are usually uninformed.
I guaranteed Fleener to Indy, interesting to see that they went TE again to start the 3rd. I remember hearing something about this being a copy-cat league.
