Are the Broncos a "cream puff?" Seemed like it when Tim Tebow got sacked for an NFL record 29-yard loss by Rob Ninkovich with the score 41-23 at Mile High.

Well, then maybe I should restate this. We *DO* have something to lose. But even if we lose, the 2011 Broncos season is already one for the ages.

But if NE loses today, this season will be an abject failure. If you go one-and-done AGAIN, then abandon ye all hope of beginning a 2nd dynasty.

Just speaking for myself here, I'm hoping for the Pats to win this game, but given their recent history, I know better than to expect it.

Every NFL team begins 0-0 and aims to play for the Super Bowl. Right now, only eight teams have that opportunity, and NE/DEN are among them. The loser will fail in their quest for the Super Bowl.

All this "dynasty" talk? Horse crap. Only teams in that discussion right now are Packers and Saints, the last two SB winners. It's only about one thing and that's winning today and if you've lost sight of that then that's your prerogative.

Regular season is irrelevant, last years Pats team beat all the top teams on the way to a 14-2 season and still lost. I don't care if they went 0-6 vs. "quality opponents" as long as they win tonight and win handily.

The Patriots had 10 games this year against teams that had winning records had they not played the Patriots.

You can look it up.

The Pats have never won a cream puff division with an 8-8 record.

Our 2 off years this century, we missed the playoffs with records of 9-7 and 11-5.

Not anymore nervous than any other playoff game the Pats have ever played. Yes, people are saying "look what happened last year", but people forget that the Jets were a good team last year (they went 11-5).

What people fail to see is that the Broncos were 1-4 when Tebow took over. They were a 7-4 team with Tebow. If he'd played the entire season they'd likely have ended up 10-6 or 11-5. So, record-wise, I really can't see them as any different than the Jets last season.

And if you take away the 3 turnovers against Denver in the regular season, you pretty much have an even game.

To me the difference now is that it's in Foxboro which is HUGE (just altitude alone) and Tebow's lack of experience playing in Arctic weather.

You only get that by taking away their turnovers and having us commit them. Driving to score after a turnover does not mean the score goes away without the turnover, unless you eliminate the entire possession.

So let me get this straight. If we played 4 winning teams, and went 0-4 LIKE THE BRONCOS DID and also went 8-4 against .500 or worse teams, instead of the 13-1 we did, we would be better?

It isn't about "what would have happened." it's about people thinking the Patriots are a cakewalk today because they beat Denver earlier by a big spread.

If Denver hangs on to the ball then that big spread likely doesn't happen.

Meaning, perhaps, Denver represents a little bit of a threat today, despite what some "homer vision" wants to make people believe.

Absolutely. Turnovers are usually huge if one team has a decided advantage in that department. And they can be huge even if not, depending on where & when they occur.

Nope. Pats are going to roll. 41-20. Their talent and coaching is superior.

In regards to tomorrow? Nope, not nervous at all. If the Pats can't beat a 9-8 Tebow led Broncos squad, they have no business seeing the Ravens or Texans, let alone the NFC rep in the SB.

I will be nervous for the AFCC though.
