the defense is waiting for just the right moment to completely implode... so obviously it's gonna happen in the playoffs.

the lack of a lead rb.... the lack of another wr option is going to bite this team in jan... i think the main thing is getting a bye right now... we need one to get guys like chung and spikes healthy...

The end was messy. Brady should never have been in that position to throw the interception. With 7mins left, we should have ran it 3 straight and take the field goal. We were running well on that series. That would have taken the clock to 5+mins with a 10 point lead. That would have been very comfortable.

I agree with the PI on McCourty totally swung the momentum in the redskins favor. That was just bad situational football on the part of McCourty.

What happened between Brady and O'Brien after the int. Didn't see the game but its being reported they had to be separated ?!

I only saw clips of the game... I'll be able to watch it later on Game Rewind... but I'm a little miffed about some penalties.

NFL.com seems to be making a big deal about whether or not London Fletcher's hit on Brady was really illegal or not, but ignoring the fact that Carter's seemingly legal hit on Grossman negated McCourty's INT when the refs flagged it. I saw Fletcher's hit on Brady and I'm not sure what was wrong with it. I did not see Carter's hit on Grossman. Either way, both got flagged, but NFL.com only seems to be making a big deal about Fletcher's penalty.

Also, on Brady's late INT, Wilson was pulling on Underwood's jersey right as Underwood is making his cut to the right. Is that pass interference?

I wonder how much longer this can go on before the locker room completely implodes.

The offensive guys have to be a little pissed that the defense can't do anything right.

Concerning as a Pats fan. D was more bad then usual. And the D is bad to begin with.. Whatever, on to the next one..

Where I expect Tebow to have a career high in passing,,,,,

I also fault either BOB or TFB for play calling on the series where they're running the ball down those filthy Redskins' throats and get a 1st and goal around the 5. Suddenly we go empty backfield play after play? Why? Result no TD and settle for a FG.

Has BOB forgotten that BJGE is on the team? Yeah he's got hands of stone but he gets yards.

Worst of all was the last offensive series where only a turnover could keep us from an insurmountable 2 score lead and Brady misses WWW throwing behind him. Yes it is a catch Wes usually makes, but bad throw. Subsequently Mr 200+ passes w/o a pick forces the ball and we don't even settle for 3.

IN other news.

Gronkowski's double spike causes tsunami in Indonesia.

One thing's for sure-we didn't win because Rex Grossman had a ****ty game.

That was rex grossman? looked like montana for 59 minutes and 40 seconds, grossman subbed for the final play. Watch the tape

Also, on Brady's late INT, Wilson was pulling on Underwood's jersey right as Underwood is making his cut to the right. Is that pass interference?

You know, I thought it was when I saw it, but in today's NFL who knows.
It seems that these things change from week to week.

I'm not usually too frustrated with wins but this game was frustrating as hell. While the defense has not been spectacular in past weeks they have been adequate. Enough that they are not completely blowing games. Today was nearly too close. I'm glad they pulled it out in the end (though by a miracle bonehead play). I not a yards junkie like some people but those touchdowns were wide open almost unbelievably so.

The offense was terrible. I've gotten used to the offense slowly starting in the first half them smoking the opponent in the second but this was almost painful to watch. The miscommunications, bad play calling, and drops it didnt even seem like the pats. We have a run game that we just inexplicably dumped. They were getting yards then next play go 5 wide. 2nd and 2 why in the hell are we passing 6 yards from the goal line? its things like that that drive me nuts. Wasted points with crap like that. I dont know what was going on with Brady and the recievers. I can understand one miscommunicaiton but when it happens 3 or 4 times to 3 different recievers something isn't right. I hope we get some type explination about this.

I'm just glad we got the win. Hopefully this is the last game they play like this for the rest of the season.

A lot to be concerned about.

Two stinkers of a game in a row, along with the disappearance of the run game.

Plenty to discuss..

I don't know when I've been so disappointed OVER A WIN! I was so optimistic that the defense would get better and if anything they've gotten worse. And you can't blame the new guys because it's players like McCourty who are hurting us. Plus, is there a pass rush? It's been so so long since we've seen one I don't know if I'd recognize it. Belichick's mood was better this week but I think that's because he's resigned to the fact that this team just isn't very good. God help us in Denver next week.

I was more disappointed at the D's inability to stop the run than the secondary's inability to cover. If they could have taken that dimension away, the 'Skins would have been more predictable and easier to slow down.

Once Chung, Spikes, and McCourty return to the D, they'll be much better off.

I agree with O'brien. Brady did not have his head in the game on the interception. Brady just needed to throw the ball out of bounds and let Gostkowski kick a field goal. The decision by Brady was awful. Obviously, we all understand Brady's frustration, but a 10 point lead would have been important.

Yes, the defense gives us all nightmares, but the running game thing is bogus. We ran it twice and a row and hadto punt, this team lives and dies with Brady. You'd rather run than pass?

The team is at its best when the offense is balanced. In that way, they are able to call a lot of play-actions which has been the best part of our offense. Our biggest plays have come out of the play action.

Running it twice in a row? BJGE ran twice in a row and got 10 yards and then 5 and went straight to the bench.

That 3rd and short that got killed was a play that severely lacked imagination. The Skins had already stacked the box and we see Solder on the left side, so everyone knows there's a strongside off-tackle run coming, and that's just what the Skins did, they piled everyone at the point of attack.

And what about those goal line situtations? Why get cute? I believe that there were THREE instances when we were at the goal line and just threw the ball away on a 3rd down pass after pass after pass (Hernandez, Welker, INT), instead of running the ball in.

-Brady made a lot out of the little that his line gave him to work with. There were numerous communication issues of offense, but I expect them to get those straightened out. If there weren't, we could easily be talking about a 3 score win. Hernandez spoiled a good performance with what turned out to be a big drop.

-We need Spikes back in a major way. Mayo is not a physical force against the run as far as shedding blockers goes, and Fletcher is no Spikes. His return should put an end to the problem we saw on the ground today. 170 yards!! Our pass D is bad enough.

-Too much soft zone coverage. This is driving me nuts. Even the worst QBs will figure out how to pick up big chunks of yards. Can you imagine what Brees, Rodgers or even Roethlisberger would do? I suppose that speaks to the level of talent in the back. I know they really struggled with man earlier in the year but I would like to see more man looks mixed in as well as more blitzing. Most of the looks we showed were primarily 4-5 rushers and Mark Anderson dropped back on a few plays. Don't outthink yourselves.

Overall, while Brady and the WR/TE group are outstanding, there is a lot of work to be done. There is a certain level of physicality I see across the board from teams like NY, BAL and PIT that we don't have. Its missing on the offensive line when we try to block for the run plays, and its missing on defense when we try to rush the passer. This concerns me. We're going to have to find a way to bring that to another level if we expect to emerge from the AFC. Otherwise, the gap may be too much for Brady to overcome.
