Bill Belichick Releases Statement Regarding The Death Of Reche Caldwell

New England Patriots head coach Bill Belichick shared a brief statement regarding the death of former NFL wide receiver Reche Caldwell on Sunday.
Caldwell was shot and killed in Tampa, Florida on Saturday night, he was 41 years old.
“I am saddened to hear the news about Reche,” Belichick said. “He is remembered for his solid contribution to our team. My thoughts and prayers are with Reche’s family. ”

Caldwell played just one full season in New England, but led the team in every receiving category on their way to a fourth AFC Championship game appearance under Belichick in 2006.
A second round draft pick of the San Diego Chargers in 2002, Caldwell played six professional seasons across three teams before retiring in 2008.
According to TMZ, the investigation into Caldwell’s murder remains ongoing with no arrests made at this time.
