Jets considering pursuing Randy Moss

If he failed miserably last year with Brady, how is he going to do better with Sanchez?

Because he is Randy Moss. The most physically gifted WR to ever play the game.

Might he bust? Sure!

May he be better than what Braylon Edwards was for them last season? I'd rather not find out.

Since this thread is about the Jets..might as well post this. All of them over there are talking about building statues in front of stadium of their GM after this ect

Wonder how many SB trophies this GM will be holding in the statue?

Moss to the Jets doesn't concern me because he won't be able to play second fiddle to Holmes and will get frustrated and give up. He can help them but in the quest for a title he won't be able to put his ego aside and ultimately will become a problem.

I want to vomit. Moss please don't go to the Rats. Anywhere but the Rats.

Don't worry, Jet fans won't notice the lack of trophies as they really don't know what a championship is.

Yes, Moss may have been the most physically gifted player several years ago, but he wasn't 34. Name one WR who totally collapsed in his mid 30s only to rebound the next year.

Besides, all we heard before the season was how Moss was a stud in shorts in training camp. It wasn't that injuries hampered him. It was his lack of being able to outmuscle the defenders.

Personally, I would rather have Edwards and I don't want Edwards.

He had a similar decline in Oakland before we acquired him. I think he had already lost a step even in 2007, so physically, he's the same guy who put up 23 touchdowns.

Mentally, not so much. But, as I said, his turnaround from Oak->NE doesn't rule out that he could turn it around again.

Physically, Moss isn't even close to the same guy who put up 23 touchdowns. I'm about as big of a Moss apologist as you'll find, and I like him a lot, but still.

What I'm more afraid of is Fatty Ryan using Moss for intel against us. You know damn well unlike Dumbo Childress that Ryan will actually listen to Moss when it comes to anything he can use against us on the field. So yes we better hope Moss goes elsewhere (or even back to us) over the Rats.

No he isn't. That was 4 years ago, and WR's start aging in dog years on the wrong side of 30. He wasn't even that guy in 2008 or 2009. He's always been prone to lose focus when things aren't going his way. Now he's losing the athletic prowess that always allowed him to check out periodically and still impact the game by just being Randy. One thing he's always needed to do his very best, when his mind and body were in rare synch, is an accurate QB who can air it out. That is not Sanchez forte. Sanchez needs an effort guy who bails him out. Randy was never really a fighter, and now he he has no fight left. Great in shorts, lousy in pads. Randy has always needed to be relevant as well, and he wouldn't be in NY. He'll be a decoy again and one who no longer commands double and triple teams at that...even on a shallow roster. And when the results oriented media turns on him, and the Boston media is a distant cousin to NY in that respect, he will curl up into that fetal position and shut down altogether. Teamates can wax poetic about him and Rex can suck his toes all day long and it won't matter.

Moss to the Jets would be Subtraction by Addition

Anything that the Jets can get out of Moss, they'll get from someone, one way or another. The same is true in reverse, as well. Whether it's moss or some end-of-the-roster guy that we cut, them getting Moss would be no more of a competitive advantage than, say, us getting Woodhead last year was.

The question with Moss is what he has left in the tank. Last year was so bizarre for him that I don't think we know the answer right now.

If he were to join the Pats: I have to think that if he's the "#2" WR along with Branch that it would be a good role for him. If we're asking him to be the #1, it's a stretch. But him being the #2 WR is a role I'd be fine with.

Plus he knows the system and couldn't be too expensive. And I think he would understand his role on the team. The team is not a pass-happy one anymore. He makes the decision whether he's with the program or not when/if he signs the dotted line.

If he were to join the Jets: I really don't think he would fit into the culture there.

Good lord, did anyone actually watch Moss last year? He sucks now.

Please God let this happen.

He's perfect for that Zoo over there.

Fug this lazy twit already. Do not want. And because I do not want - me personally - I just may get it.

I wonder where Brad Smith is going to wind up. The Miami Pukes? Gawd, where's the eyewash. I know breaking up is hard to do, but Miami? For real? Seeing Pennington in a Miami jersey and Jason Taylor in a Jets jersey is all I can stand. Like, forever.

Rumor has it the Jets are also tossing around the idea of Santana Moss, speaking of old mold. The Jets have a thing for midgets.

Well, he just re-signed with the Redskins yesterday.

So unless the Jets re-signed Laveranues Coles and are looking to have a re-do on one of the worst 1-for-1 trades in modern NFL history...I don't see this happening.
