Will Pryor get fined and/or suspended?

I would think Guyton is more likely to be fined, since he clearly went high, leading with the top of his helmet.
He jumped up, until I saw that on the replay I was thinking he wasn't too bad.

if he gets fined we should take up acollection and pay it has fans like Pittsburgh fans are for harrison (he is using ot start a foundation)

are you suggesting that fans pay the fine of a player on their favorite nfl team?

this is ridiculous if i read that correctly, i hope i didn't.

I feel sorry if you think that's a good idea.

they get paid tons of money to play a game. and i don't give a crap if Pryor only makes $200k a year. He can pay his own damn fines, no matter how unfair they are.

I just got a $25 ticket for not having a village sticker. Maybe Pryor can pay for that.

Unfortunately the NFL has so ****ified the current rules that any hard hit seems to be contentious and a QB hit almost basphemy. So it wouldnt surprise me if there is a fine.

No.

Even the Fox NFC announcers who were kissing Favre's feet all game long both said it was a clean hit.

Whoever the "BSPN clown" who said whatever was said this morning should go to the library and check out "Football for Dummies".

It was a clean hit. That doesn't mean that Goodell won't get another wild hair across his ass about it, though.

truer words have not been spoken....

If Pryor gets suspended, I may have to send the Commish a nice big bag of flaming dog poo, since that is what he's turning the NFL into.

Oh and one more thing, why is no one talking about the blatant leg whip on Brady. I forget exactly when it happened (2 very excited kids getting ready for Halloween), but they showed the replay of it a couple times. If someone should get fined it should be that Viking D-lineman.

He obviously will not get suspended. However, I'm sick and tired of the little hand grazing helmet penalties in the NFL. "Protect the QB" has gotten to be far too absurd.

Tom Curran said last night he talked to an NFL official who assured him that would not be deemed an illegal hit. Of course Curran's track record is a little sketchy...

The NFL has a -purpose- with their threat-of-suspension "rule". Suspending Pryor would NOT be serving this purpose, there's 0 chance of it happening. I can't believe people think it's remotely possible. Goodell and the NFL don't act out of irrationality, there is clear and concise rational thought with their business policies.

Favre also looked like he buckled and his head dropped into the helmet. I didn't think that hit looked like much in slow-mo, but regular speed it looked like Pryor blasted him legally. Afterward, Favre looked like he thought it was 1996 and was trying to figure out why he was wearing the uniform of a hated rival team.

I do think Guyton may be getting a game off for his hit on Favre. As it drew a flag, I am not seeing much to avoid that outcome unless suspensions are handed out only on subsequent offenses.

I agree. I think fining for a clean, hard hit would make them hypocrites. They have said emphatically that they don't intend to find for clean, hard-hitting football. They only intend to remove the dirty hits.

In a way this hit actually proves their point: that you can still have very hard hitting, physical football without resorting to a dirty hit.

Yup, when his NY panties get all atwist, no thinking* what'll happen

Me, I want to know what that hottie Mary on his TV show has to say...

I think the key point here is that the league has time to analyze these different hits--if they had to decide in-game they might screw it up, but w/time to look at it I don't see any way he'll have a problem.

OT, why would Favre have to be carted off the field because he had a boo-boo on his chin? Coincidentally, I had 8 stiches on my chin when I fell on the ice when I was little. I think I was able to walk. Man I hate that guy.

Even worse, what was wrong with his hands that he couldn't hold the cloth to his own damn chin. What a drama queen.

No kidding, the way they were acting, I thought there was no way his jaw wasn't shattered. What a Drama Queen.

Absolutely F'in hilarious that it was just a cut on his chin after they were acting like he was paralyzed on the sideline, and he was acting like he had a broken jaw after the hit.

One of the Minn. trainers looked like he was actually laughing at how much of a *uss Favre was being.
