How is pointing out that there 9-7 record is fluffed up by playing 2 games against teams that didnt care to try whining? Actually we are pointing out fact, you are whining because you don't like the fact.

Still sounds like sour grapes when it is mentioned every other second.

For all this talk about how bad the Jets were and how the teams they beat sucked so much, the Pats weren't that much better. The Patriots only beat the Jets in the division by one game. This was a Jets team with a rookie QB who cost them a couple of games and looked abysmal at times. Maybe you should be more thankful at the Jets regular season ineptitude. Forget about all the big name acquisitions the Jets made this off season...if the QB plays better than he did last season (and I believe/hope he will) the Patriots will be in trouble.

Also, you can see why the Jets couldn't afford to stand pat with their personnel. AFC championship game or not, the Jets were still a 9-7 team and could not afford to over-estimate their talent.

they couldn't afford to stand pat because they need to sell psl's.

good luck on your superbowl run with that abysmal qb.

edit: and they were a .500 team last year.
as indy pointed out in the playoffs, you are deluding yourself to think otherwise.
they proved it against cincy when it counts, so I'll give you that one, but the indy game was a forfeit.

No, Its mentioned when it is relevant. You asked why wouldn't they be better than 9-7. One of the reasons is they werent really a true 9-7 team.

What would a Patriot fan have sour grapes about? You act like you won the division from us last year. Sour grapes indicates jealously, what would the Patriots possibly have to be jealous of the Jets about?

'cuz the jets are 2010-11 superbowl winners, and the pats haven't won anything yet.

And, ironically, they didn't get any better they DID act like they were (as the Jet fans like to say every April) 'set at every position'
They traded out one weak corner for another, but this one doesn't like contact.
They jettisoned a workhorse RB who led them to the #1 rushing game and replaced him with a 2nd year player who has not proven he can carry that load.
They threw a decrpit old man in at OLB, why I'm not sure, but its not improvement.
They lost the best run blocker on the team you know run blocking, they key to their offense. But hey, they have a 6th round pick who has to be better than the perennial allpro that they were telling us 6 months ago was the best G in the NFL, because the OL coach 'is high on him'.
They added a WR, but don't have a QB who can get the ball to him.

They have absolutely no debt on the roster, so part of that 'imporvement' better be even better health this year than almost complete lack of injuires last year.
Jet fans speak as if they added 3 allpros to each side of the ball, when in fact they made 1 move that is a clear upgrade, but that upgrade is at a position that has its hand tied behind its back.

Damn, I keep forgetting that rule, if the game hasn't been played yet, the Jetds win because they say they are better.

Complete lack of injuries?

Kris Jenkins, Leon Washington, Lito Shepard, Donald Strickland all say hi.

You guys are highly over rating Faneca who made the pro bowl on reputation on name alone. I cant speak for what any fans where saying a month ago, but I sure as hell wasnt calling him the best guard in the league.

yeah, good thing you'll get all those guys back this year.

I don't know how you guys managed to soldier on with 4 guys injured like that.

Just pointing out that Andy's point wasn't valid.

Thats the list? Hello. That is as close to a total lack of injuries as exists in the NFL.
Jennings is an injury waiting to happen, so if you think thats severe, get ready for it to happen again, unless he will actual get in shape (which then will make him a dfferent player anyway).
Besides that you have a 3rd down back, and 2 corners who missed how much time?

Ok, now you can justify being wrong in your original post. Cool.

ALMOST complete lack of injuries which you just proved to be correct.
Read much? When ALMOST comes before 'lack of' list that there were only a few is not a great way to show disagreement.

How is 4 significant injuries almost a complete lack of injuries?

Shepard and Strickland were are 2 other main CB's behind Revis, Jenkins was the most important part of our run defense, and Washington is this amazing player who now that we traded are doomed according to many on here.

But lets not harp on this, I want to get back to Sanchez and his mediocre arm. That one is the best.

Wait..... are you claiming that Sanchez has a strong arm at this stage in his NFL career? Seriously?

It's clear Jets fans just like their head coach and team are bleating for respect. They just want people to think they are good then say it so they can read it.

It's about as monotonous as goats bleating now.

Yes. Did you see the youtube I posted a few pages back?

He has a plus arm, much better than I expected coming out of college.
