Default Give Sam Cassell credit for a very nice job in game 5 despite the loss

Everyone in here jumps on Sam and says he sucks and all but you see nothing in here when he plays a decent game like he did yesterday.

Sam's play kept the Celtics within reach of winning game 5 by scoring 7 points in a row for the Celtics when they appeared out of reach to close the Lakers gap,Sam shot all his free throws well and played solid defense, even causing a jump ball in the 4th quarter.

He is not the player he once was and he has been hard to watch at times but you have to give credit to SC in game 5 - He deserves that much - Even in a losing effort.

That being said,I hope Sam wins another title then settles down to retirement next year,He was once a great little player and again last night showed flashes of his glory years play when back with Houston.

I would give him credit... except my apartment complex blacked out last night and I couldn't see the game.

I made this same exact point in the game thread last night actually.

Like I said, it reminds me when people were still referring to JD as Nacy Drew even after his grand slam in the ALCS.

They'll find out Randy can't run consistently anymore. He'll drive [Tom] Brady and [Bill] Belichick crazy. This is just my personal opinion from what I saw: He's losing his legs. He's becoming an old man fast.

Props to Sam for heaving Sasha "theEurotrashballbag" to the floor last night, that was priceless.

These Lakers are as soft as a sneaker full of *****, which is why losing Perkins sucks as he manhandled Gasol in the first four games, look at how he came out of his shell last night without Perkins smashing him around..............
