Not sure I would.

The pros: He takes the helm of a complete championship team with a great organization. If he does well, he's the heir-apparent.

The cons: How many succeeding QBs have been compared favorably to a HoFer? You can mention Rodgers, Young, maybe Luck, but even with those maybe not quite as good as they guy before. Garoppolo will always be compared to Brady. Will he win a SB down the road? Will he carry a team? Of course the alternative is being on another team you hope is an emerging contender, but maybe stuck in Cleveland.

abso****inglutely.

1.) You are in a system you know, and have been training in for 3 years.
2.)You are throwing to gront, edlement, and bennet. Add in hogan and amendola. and you have guys who are not going to let you down.
3.)Your defense is top notch.
4.)Your rookie contract is coming to a close.

Jimmy G has a rare golden opportunity to start 4 games for a perennial playoff team, and get his name out there to teams that might be looking for a QB.

Guys like bradford are getting 18 million a year, you can bet jimmy is excited about working hard to show teams hes start caliber. This is HIS chance to shine.

The only people who wouldn't want to be him right now are people too afraid to fail that they never try.

Yes, yes, yes!! I wish I was anyone making more than $100k a year.

Like everyone else, I hope Garoppolo to Brady will be like Young to Montana, but those are long odds. Things going in his favor are being here for a few years and McDaniels being the OC.

Barring injury, Garoppolo will not start any other meaningful Patriots games after these 4. He is too close to the end of his rookie deal and, despite the fact that many in here seem all too eager to get Brady out the door (for reasons I can't say I understand), if he is good then he will be going elsewhere one way or another.

He has a lot of future money riding on his performance in September/October.

What's the alternative? Being me or being an equally good QB in a different situation? It's certainly not an ideal situation, but I'd still take it.

He is auditioning in the only team he could take to 4-0.
If he plays he gets paid if he sucks he was never getting paid.
Incredible opportunity

I'll take that paycheck...
