Jordan Richards did himself no favors tonight either,
Ridiculous to watch Giardi and Fleger roast this kid when the 2nd TD was the fault of the safety.......and they know it.
That being said, I have to say he didn't look quick or explosive during those plays
Too early to confirm either way, with 3 preseason games remaining. He still has a shot at turning it around, and Belichick has proven to be patient with higher round draft picks after only one season.
He certainly isn't looking too promising at the moment, though.
I just wish we had that one play, whether it was on special teams or defense, that showed us he's capable of big things. But unless I blocked out something from last season, we've yet to see a single big moment from him in his career that gives us hope going forward.
How do you turn it around from being slow, not quick, lacking instinct, having bad hands and little confidence? Thus far Cyrus Jones has demonstrated inability to make the leap from college to the pro level.Cyrus you can still justify believe he will turn it around being only a 2nd year guy.
Can't be all on the safety when he's 10 yards behind the receiver. That's not how coverage works.Ridiculous to watch Giardi and Fleger roast this kid when the 2nd TD was the fault of the safety.......and they know it.

Well it worked with McCourty.Richards is what he is. No more upside potential to him.
Cy Jones has upside potential.....but as a Safety. It's worth at least a look. Replace Jordan Richards with Cy Jones. We know the answer on Richards. Richards ain't getting any better.
